About Me

I'm a 22-year-old piano technician (apprentice), and I live, work, and play in NY's Capital/Saratoga region.I've been writing and performing since Fall 2004 (though I've played piano since I was 7 or so, and have always been in band/chorus/orchestra/what-have-you). I recorded my first full-length CD fall of 2006--it doubled as part of my senior project as a music major at Skidmore College. It's now available for sale via my website , CDbaby, and iTunes (among others).

Influences: Direct stylistic influences include: Ryan Adams, Matthew Banks, Jim Brickman, Norah Jones, Marian McPartland, (70's) Tom Waits, (early 90's) Mariah Carey, Eva Cassidy, and Sarah McLachlan. Inspirations are all over the map, but the most notable are other local musicians--check them out in my top friends.
Sounds Like: a mix between folk, jazz, and pop styles; "Songs of a Romantic Nature" [so says Brett Gillen]; the most common comparison people make is Norah Jones.
