About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor

..
Welcome, My name is Marc. I am a self-taught Fine Visual Artist from Rockford, Illinois who loves many beautiful people, places, and things...God, my Family (especially my beautiful Daughter, Brittney!) and my Country. There was a time in my life when my philosophy was if it felt good, do it 'til it hurts!
"Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come." - II Corinthians 5:17
Today I am in the business of expressing Faith through Love, a Defender of the defenseless, and an innovative, relevant, contemporary student of life!
"Love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well."
-Vincent Van Gogh
I seek 3 things; an adventure to live, a Beauty to rescue, and a battle to fight.
In 1987 my dog-tags read next to religious preference; NONE!
Today, I prefer God to the selfish life I led! My new philosophy is that it's not about me creating a Masterpiece, it's about me helping you to create yours! The creative process is amazing and I love to teach it wherever and to whomever I can. It is begun in wonder as knowledge is and is so amazingly woven into each of our unique souls! Take time to discover it again, I emplore everyone, as it is amon other things very cathartic.
As an honorably discharged US Air Force, Sergeant, Veteran, and participant in the widely unknown Operation Classic Resolve, Philippines I know that the War on Terror didn't start in 2001. This is the battle to fight. There are 2 kinds of Americans, those that understand the threat and those that don't. I pray for unity and know that in the War between good and evil, good always prevails. America will prevail.

HIGH QUALITY ART LITHOGRAPHS ARE AVAILABLE OF MY PATRIOTIC ART DEDICATED TO LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. JUST CLICK the "E-bay" button below.
On September 12th, 2001 I was led to the canvas and started painting. Three months later I had finished what will probably be considered one of my most important paintings, “Heroes Day,” a tribute to 9/11, the Unalienable Right of Life, and the idea that there are miracles in tragedies! This painting has proved to be a springboard for an ever-growing vision to paint tribute murals dedicated to honoring words, values, ideals, and principles to motivate, encourage, and inspire those in need of Hope and dreams.
The tiny Mustard Seed that the Lord planted in me continues to grow as does my hunger for His Truth, Freedom, and Peace.
VETERANS CONTINUE TO SERVE!

I am not concerned with fortune and fame, nor merely shocking others with my Art. I aspire to inspire and believe that everything comes down to either Love or fear. I choose to focus on Love, am only concerned with love, and surround myself with it. This is my adventure.
I shut my eyes in order to see. - Paul Gauguin.
My Beauties are my Grandma Marty and my Daughter Brittney. My Mom, Linda, died several years ago. I'm not so sure about me rescuing them as their love for me has been such an incredible blessing TO ME.
I hope you will look around and consider purchasing some Art for yourself or as a gift enabling me to continue my Living Art Mission and I pray you connect to the infinite "Inspiration" within and through your gifts of emotions, motor skills, perceptions, intellect, and senses you are able to know Peace.
I invite you to accept Christ into your heart at this moment and I pray that that relationship grows ever-significant by "tapping the Artist within" you, as it has in me!
Jesus loves you and so do I.
It is by God's grace that we are saved and faith is a gift.
...and that my friends is the bottom-line!
I look forward to meeting alot of new friends here on MySpace, especially you!
Some of my Art is for sale on E-bay. I hope you'll check it out.

MARC'S BIO
As a small child I would borrow those extremely large picture books of the Wild West from the Library, you know, the ones with the big colorful pictures of the great buffalo hunt. Chaotic scenes of Indians riding bare backed at full breakneck speed hunting buffalo through all the dust. I used to sit for hours sketching those pictures in great detail.

I realize now that the beauty of Art is in the quiet focus and contemplation that leads to illumination of God's knowledge, which is the Alpha and Omega of creativity.

Norman Rockwell was a major influence of mine when I was young. I would strive for his kind of perfection in my art.

Art, I believe, is a conduit for knowledge, revealing truth through intuition. It is communicating wonder, love, faith, joy, and hope and less about staying inside the lines! It's about progress not perfection. There are no mistakes in Art, it's just deciding which ones to keep.

Some of my other favorite Artists include: Howard Terpning, Vincent Van Gogh, Thomas Hart Benton, John Singer Sargent, and so many others. I have a real affinity for the Italian Renaissance, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Religious Art. As with most, my tastes are pretty eclectic.

I'd like to meet:

Our Lord is Creator as well as Savior, and the Maker of rainbows and nightingales, didn’t suddenly lose his creative urge at the close of Day Six. God’s creativity is inexhaustible. And you were made for him. He longs to express his creativity through you. As an instrument and musician together make beautiful music, you and your Lord can unite to create exquisite beauty. What you can do together defies imagination.!
The Spirit of the Almighty resides within us. Everyday we speak with God. Everyday we’re seated in heavenly places. To us, the supernatural is commonplace. It would hardly be surprising if our efforts were more divinely inspired than we realize. Yet each of us could probably develop still further our ability to receive from heaven.
My passion is to inspire you to enter into an ever-deepening partnership with the Creator, the One who ‘gives songs in the night,’ the Origin of ‘every good and perfect gift,’ the Lord of sound and time, who is constantly worthy of a new song. Seek him. Yield to him. Harmonize with him. The result will last for eternity.

I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me. (Phil 4:13).

Music:

Christian/Rock, Classical (Handel, Mozart,...), Classic/Alternative Rock, Jimmy Buffett, and Elvis!!

Movies:

Mostly funny ones and Top Gun, an American President, Romancing the Stone (I know, I'm a sucker for the romance.)

Television:

David Letterman

Books:

the Bible & Dictionary (no kidding, they both really inspire me!)

Heroes:

USA Military Men and Women (and their Families!!)I am so grateful to all of our Brave young male and female US Warriors in Uniform at home and abroad protecting our freedoms in this war on terror. Thank you, may God bless you and your Families!

and everyone who battles evil by just making the CHOICES to do the next right thing in their lives, love God and your neighbors with all your heart, and keep His commandments!
