Blohka aka 2040 Shawty

Clifton DeMarco Kirkland was born on February 13, 1980 at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Clifton aka Blohka is the youngest of seven children conceived by Gloria Jean Kirkland. Out of her seven children (4 sisters & 2 Brothers) six still contain the breath of life. Tragedy has engulfed the life of Clifton sense the tender age of thirteen when one of his older brothers was incarcerated and another inmate took his life two days before his release date. The hardships did not end there. Cliftons other brother was incarcerated seven years ago for a crime that he did not commit and is still in prison to this day. Clifton had to become the head of the household overnight and accepted the responsibility of caring for his mother along with his sisters and their children. He lives in East Point, Atlanta and has lived in what we call the Dirty S.W.A.T.S (Southwest Atlanta Too Strong) all his life. On Stanton Road with his uncles he learned the tricks of the game and how to keep his family fed. It also showed him the judicial system. In and out of juvenile detention centers as a youth and serving almost four years of hard time Clifton knew that there had to be another way.
Clifton found peace in writing his lyrics everyday in prison. He knew when he got out he was going to change the game and he did. The peace writing rhymes brought him continued upon his release. He was known on the streets of East Point as Shorty Raw because his lyrics were so concise and delivery so animated. Cliftons off the head freestyle is so fluid and real it is unmatched. His name quickly went from Shorty Raw to Blohka aka '2040 Shawty' because his rhymes controlled the block and when in the clubs he has at least 20 to 40 people with him. Clifton leaves the crowd in awe whether on the stage, the block or on the radio where his first single crushed Sammy Sam on hot 107.9 Hit or Dis.
He has been out three months and has started right where he left off by inking a publishing deal for the soundtrack of the movie Queen Pin distributed by Universal Records and due to hit theaters January 2007. 2040 Shawty is also slated to do an ten city tour with E-40 September 18-29 of 2006. Blohka, I dont think yall ready for dis, a line from his song "Blohka, Blohka"; everyone better get ready because he is back.
