About Me

My name is Todd AKA DJ Supreme. I have been a DJ since the age of 16, I'm 44 now so I have been at it for awhile. My DJ name was Jazzy Tee when I first began but in 1982 I started DJing for a rap group called the Beat Boys (Mr Slick and Frankie D)and at that time they decided to call me Dj Supreme. They did a song called B. Bop Rock over Man Parrish's(Hip-Hop Be Bop)track. They also did the rap version of in the bottle. We did a few shows one being at Zanzibar with Man Parrish. The group broke up but the experience was incredible being that I was just a kid at the time and the name stuck so that's the name I have had ever since. I was born and raised in New Jersey and have been here just about all my life. I was fortunate to spend 3 and a half years in Hawaii. I dreamed about Hawaii as a child for the fascination of volcanoes and when I was around 25 I packed a suitcase and just went. I stayed because that was my first time in a plane (11 Hours non-stop). While in Hawaii I saw an ad for dj auditions so I went. I played freestyle and some hip-hop at the audition and was asked to come back and play at the place they wanted the dj for..They neglected to tell me it was a rock bar and I never mentioned to them that I grew up on classic rock....You can stop laughing now..Well I got the job and in a short time became the resident DJ at the Red Lion Dance Palace then I became the DJ at Streamers. While Djing at Streamers I was promoted to manager and we changed the name to Hots and I was a part of making it just that HOT. I also guest DJed at many other spots and was voted one of the top DJ's from the mainland 3 years running. I had the fortune while in Hawaii to play with the islands best dj (DJ James Coles)and meet Motley Crue , The Oakland Raider Cheerleaders, Third World, Deon Estus( George Micheals Guitar Player), Kool and The Gang and many others. That is why I take DJing serious it is a business and my job is to make sure you have a great time. I have traveled to many states to play and I have had my fair share of clubs that I have played. I think the one thing that sets me apart from some of the others is that I play everything. From Rock to Alternative to Oldies to Big Band to Hip-Hop to Socca to Reggae to Latin to House to Club to R&B to Jazz to Gospel and anything else I may have missed. I love music and I love for people to enjoy themslves while I play. As well as being a DJ I also like to dab in cooking. I cook every day I even went to vocational school for cooking (graduated 2nd in my class)but the DJing bug was a little bit stronger. Anyway I love to Cook and as I might say I'm pretty good at it at least my kids think so. I have 5 wonderful children,4 sons and a daughter my oldest is 15 and my youngest is 3. Well that's a little about me but if I left something out that you might want to know please feel free to ask.I also work for a Mobile DJ company called Playroom Entertainment founded by DJ Barry B. We are a Full Service DJ company providing all your entertainment needs. No events are to small and we treat all events in a BIG way.
