Miss Hemme grew up as a fan of motorcycles and in her own words was indeed a tomboy.Her love for bikes was evident at a young age and she was soon racing away on dirt and street bikes. Christy would later become a Harley Girl, travelling with the Burlesque dance team. She'd take part on such tours as the Easyrider tour and attend various Harley rallies around the nation, opening up for headline acts. Alongside her love for bikes and dancing she is also a keen horseback rider, a fan of snowboarding and capoeria (martial arts) not to mention a fan of the flashing bulbs coming from snapping cameras. To describe Christy one would say that she has a fantastic energy about her, is wild, crazy, is willing to do anything and isn't afraid to go balls out.
Growing up as a child no one would assume she'd dream of making a living out of modelling but that soon changed as she grew older. Christy has graced the pages of such magazines as the world renound Rolling Stone, and others including MuscleMag, American Curves, Stuff, Maxim, Oxygen and Playboy.As a WWE Diva fans can expect to see her gracing RAW Magazine's pages almost every month along with being in the yearly Divas Magazines. Christy shot her first major photoshoot for World Wrestling Entertainment back in '04 and has since shot many more, most recently was the Viva Las Divas Magazine shoot where Christy also graced the cover.
Outside of the WWE she's no stranger to the tv and has appeared on various shows over the years. Alongside minor roles in music videos, aired on such popular stations as MTV, Christy took Comedy Central by storm. She was known as a "Juggy" on The Man Show, regularly featured and adored by the show's fans. She also appeared and presented at Comedy Central's 2003 Commies Awards Show. Television shows were not her only exposure, she has appeared in commercials for AT&T,TrimSpa and Bally's Gym, which involved aerobics and weight training.
Christy's journey to the WWE began when she auditioned for a chance to be a part of reality show/contest that they intended to have as weekly segments on RAW. She nailed the audition and continued to come back and join the next stages as the contest moved along. In July of '04 the WWE aired the "Diva Search Special" where they picked off contestants until they were down to the final 10. Those 10 would soon take part in many challenges among other things each week on RAW. From trashing Eric Bischoff's office, Ice cream commericals, having a run-in with Kamala and even a pie eating contest with the Rock....each week was quite interesting to say the least.
On September 20th,'04 Christy and fellow finalist Carmella stood in the ring awaiting the results of the "Diva Search Contest" Christy was bouncing off the walls with excitement and joy....Coach had just announced she was the winner. This is what she had to say on her official website just after she won:
"Hello everyone! First of all, I want to THANK ALL THE FANS! I am SO happy I wish I could thank you all in person! If you can't tell by watching the show I am extremely excited to be a part of the WWE. For me this was not a contest, its a chance to be part of a wonderful family. I couldn't be more proud to help represent such a great Company. I want everyone to know that I'm going to put 100% into this effort. I feel like all the work I have done before, has been my preparation for this show. I have always wanted to do it, and the opportunity couldn't have come at a better time in my life. I can promise you all one thing: I'll always be entertaining. I'll see you on Mondays as long as you'll have me!"
Christy soon headed out on the road with the WWE and took part in various segments, ranging from ring announcing to T-shirt gun duty and even "Lingerie Pillow Fights." Her first was with fellow "Diva Search" rival Carmella at Taboo Tuesday she came to embrace these matches and was soon to become the "unofficial" Queen of the Pillow Fights defeating Maria Kanellis, Stacy Keibler, and Candice Michelle along the way.
In Feburary of '05 fans were pleased to hear that Miss Hemme would be gracing the cover of Playboy Magazine in April. Not everyone was pleased to hear about Christy's pictorial in Playboy namely Trish Stratus. The news filled Trish with anger towards Christy. She complained that the "Playboy Cover Girl" was stealing her spotlight she went on to demand Christy come down the ring and face her. Trish stood tall calling Christy a slut but that just didn't sit well with Christy. She went on to verbally attack Trish and claim that if anyone was a slut it was Trish. Trish slapped her to the ground and a few weeks later attacked her during her Playboy "coming out" party and proceeded to spray paint "slut" on her back.
Finally in March of '05 Christy had had enough of Trish's bullying and challenged her to a match at WrestleMania 21 . Trish laughed off her challenge and made light of the fact that Christy had no wrestling experience, she went on the say that if Christy wanted the match so bad she'd get it. Christy was quick to correct Trish and inform her that she was in fact being trained to wrestle by none other that Lita. Then with Trish distracted by the appearance of Lita, Christy took hold of the Women's Champion and drove her face into the mat with a 'Twist of Fate'.
The week's leading up to WrestleMania were both challenging and rewarding for Christy. When it came down to it however, Christy fell vicitim to Trish's "Chick Kick" to seal her fate and pin for the 1-2-3. Christy wouldn't and didn't stop there as she headed into a re-match with the Women's Champ only to be knocked out before the match even began by yet another "Chick Kick" from Miss Stratus. As the week's went on Christy would team up with Victoria for some action but that wouldn't last long. On May 30th,'05 the divas including Miss Christy would take part in a bikini contest that was judged by none other than Jerry "The King" Lawler. Christy won the contest and celebrated with the divas in the ring as Victoria began to exit. Then as if out of nowhere Victoria snapped and attacked everyone in the ring and hit Christy with a "Widow's Peak." This led to a match at Vengeance where Victoria pulled out the win only by holding the ropes for leverage.
During the summer of '05 Christy assisted Coach in hosting the "2005 Raw Diva Search" as well as escorting her good friend Eugene to the ring being his cheerleader during his "Eugene Invitational."
In August '05 a blockbuster trade sent Christy Hemme along with Stacy Keibler to Smackdown!.
In late September Christy had a little mishap with MNM's Melina in the parking lot prior to a "Friday Night Smackdown!" which led to a match later on. By the end of the night Melina had gotten the best of Christy with a little help from her counterparts in MNM but, that didn't sit well with the fiery redhead who fiercely attacked Melina after the match. Mercury and Nitro flew into the ring and set Christy up for the 'Snapshot' but L.O.D flew in for the save. This set up a 6 person inter-gender tag match at No Mercy pitting L.O.D along with our Miss Hemme against MNM. However Melina couldn't wait that long because a week later Melina and her boys interrupted L.O.D's match against Regal and Burchill and finished what they started by hitting Christy with the 'Snapshot' before L.O.D could stop them.
On October 9th at No Mercy Christy made sure she lived up to the PPV's name because she showed Melina no mercy with the help of Animal to hit the 'Doomsday Device' on Melina for the win. December started out as what looked to be a great month for Christy. She was excited because she was going to OVW to train full time and couldn't wait for all her fans to see what she could do in the WWE once she returned. However, on December 5th just days after she posted on her official site about her training WWE shocked Hemme fans all over the world with their decision to release her from the company. There have been rumors flying around since her release claiming all sorts of things and so far all have been 100% FALSE. We can only hope to find out the real reason for her release once the 90 day contract clause is no longer valid and Miss Christy decides to speak out about it. Until then we all wish Christy the best in whatever she decides to do with her life/career. What's in store for Miss Hemme?!? We'll just have to see......
