About Me

I first saw George A. Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" at the age of six.
It changed my life to the point that now strategic fortification is a large factor in deciding where I live.
I love Horror films. The more gruelling the better. I find myself growing tired of schlocky "hollywood slick" styled films and tend to gravitate towards darker, grittier works like Brad Anderson's "Session 9" or Alexandre Aja's "Haute Tension" and Rob Zombie's "The Devil's Rejects", just to name a few of the films that I have enjoyed recently.
I can't stand it when social satire takes precedence over story and scares in horror films.
I also cannot stand for directors that assume horror fans are idiots. Please think through your plots before making your movies. We're not stupid and we know bullshit when we smell it. Thanks.
A good portion of my favorite films are in black and white.
It takes more than alot of money and fancy CG to make a good film, in any genre.
I think we should impliment the NC-17 rating in this country more often so people will stop bitching about how violent movies are. There is absolutely nothing wrong with making a violent horror film made for adults. If film studios force directors to edit their work down to an R rating because it will "impact box-office ticket sales" are essentially openly admitting that they're marketing R rated films to people under 17 that aren't supposed to be seeing it in the first place.
