Dave Lambert started out in 1990 with his own party concept in PARADOX (Antwerp/Belgium). The events he started out with were merely focused on rock music! Back in the early days he played music from bands such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Biohazard, Pearl Jam and many more.
As he got older he evolved into a more underground house style in clubs around Antwerp Belgium. It was at one of these nights he got spotted by the owner of a place called LE BEAU ZOO (1998) and was immediately asked to come and play on a regular basis. Right from the start he created a special vibe which let to enormous respect from famous Djs such as Marko (La Rocca), Pippi (Ibiza), and Oliver (Amnesia Ibiza). This also let to the creation of his first mixed compilations for Le Beau Zoo, Delano and Chill Music by Coca Cola!
It all started snowballing from that day forward! Dave Lambert started playing notorious party concepts like Antwerp Is Burning, Cruises To Pleasure, Ibiza Reunion and many more!
At LE RÈVE D’O in Tournai Belgium, Dave Lambert started a new residency on Friday in 2000! So not only the Flemish part but also the French part of Belgium started to fall for Dave Lambert’s sound! In those days Dave played a wide range of music between House and Tech house and some tribalism stuff with a progressive feel and on special occasions a deep house lounge set was not impossible for him.
During that period the owner of one of Belgium’s most talked about clubs, Zillion, offered him a residency during the GOLDEN nights. GOLDEN was a UK organization that brought ZILLION the crop of the cream of tastemaker DJ’s like Seb Fontaine, Paul van Dyk, Tall Paul, Ruff Drivers, Sander Kleinenberg and many more. After the closure of LE BEAU ZOO Dave also started playing on the more Trance orientated Saturdays in Zillion! Although he didn’t really play trance the ZILLION crowds took Dave Lambert in its arms which let to a more groove and progressive orientated Saturday!
This was a turning point in Dave’s career as this high profiled club made him known all over Belgium and abroad!
Dave started playing clubs like Space (Ibiza), Velfarre (Japan), Kadoc (Portugal), Colossus (Lloret Del Mar - Spain) and more!
Dave stayed in Zillion till its unfortunate closure in October 2001!
He didn’t immediately take another residence and started playing more events and high class events till the day that VERSUZ offered him a new residence on Saturday.
VERSUZ is located in Hasselt/Belgium a town near the German and Dutch border and has a +4000 capacity! VERSUZ is currently one of Europe’s super clubs! On Saturday Dave is accompanied by residents Tom Leclerq and B who create the ideal atmosphere for Dave to take over the wheels of steel.
On a regular basis VERSUZ also invited guest such as Pete Tong, Bob Sinclar, Armand van Helden, David Guetta, Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Todd Terry, Steve Angello, Axwell and many more!
Not only the club is at its maximum capacity every Saturday but also the compilations mixed and compiled by Dave Lambert are one of Belgium’s best selling CD’s! Also abroad VERSUZ with resident Dave Lambert profiles itself as a super club and hosted the inside room of Space Ibiza in 2002 on Friday mornings with TONIC (Alex P and Brandon Block) on the terrace. Also KADOC Portugal saw the Dave Lambert sound hitting them on Sunday evenings during the summer season!
VERSUZ is a way of life nicely created by the DJs and staff!
Besides his VERSUZ residency Dave also plays a lot of festivals like eg. NATURE ONE Germany, Tomorrow Land, Rave On Snow Austria, Extrema Solar Holland, The closing party of the Belgian City Parade and many more!
In 2006 Dave also headlined Europe’s famous SENSATION WHITE event besides Tom De Neef, Darren Emerson, MIKE and Marco V! It’s surely was one of the highlights in his career as it was held in his hometown of Antwerp!
Dave also holds a monthly residency in one of Belgium’s most famous clubs LA ROCCA! Every first Sunday of the month Dave spins the best progressive, minimal house tunes available! LA ROCCA is like an institute for HOUSE clubbing opening it’s doors 19 years ago!!
Together with his studio partner Elektrokid Dave also makes records that have followers of their sound all over the globe! ‘Yeah’ was Dave Lambert’s first own production and was released in 2005 and was a success beyond imagination. ‘Yeah’ was played by the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Andy Cato (Groove Armada), Deep Dish and many more! The Follow up for Yeah was a remake from Lipps Inc Funky town which led to plays from the more groove orientated jocks like Stonebridge, Erick Morillo and more! Production wise the future looks bright as reactions on remixes for Mason, Fedde Le Grand, Wonderland Avenue, Junkie XL and several others also take Dj land by storm and then we didn’t even mention ‘House In Play’ which entered the COOLCUT charts in the UK and even entered the MEGA TOP 100 in Holland up to N°38! Currently Dave is working with several producers like HOUSETRAP & SIR G
Together with HOUSETRAP he’s releasing ‘Come Back and Stay’ in October 2007! He also has several new productions to see the day of light soon and besides remixing MASON with Mr. Housetrap he’s also producing a new release with vocals from MISS BUNTY!!
With SIR G & singer TERRI B he also hit the studio to make a new house track that will take the world by storm
The future looks bright for Dave Lambert
