In terms of his musical heritage, his mother sang in the Dublin Grand Opera Society and it was she who encouraged
John from an early age to sing and write his own songs.
John is related to "Sir Eric Coates" the famous british composer who wrote the
theme tune for that classic british movie "The Damn Busters".
John had a lot of different musical influences when growing up, Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Deep Purple all graced the shelves of his music library.John sang with Noel Redding, of the Jimi Hendrix experience in Clonakilty, Co. Cork a few years ago and it was one of the highlights of his career.
