The Jacket

Wollongong band The Jacket formed in 2006 as a response to the lack of major chords in their local music scene.Since then they’ve managed to find their own musical niche - combining the minimalism of Lou Reed, the garage punk of Iggy Pop, the guitar interplay of Pete & Carl, the candid lyricism of Morrissey and hooks of Paul Westerberg.Their song ‘The Evidence Lies’ has recently received airplay on Triple J’s Home and Hosed with Caroline Tran.
