About Me

I've been rescuing horses and other equine since 1998. "My" rescue is the United States Equine Sanctuary & Rescue (www.usesr.org), and it is headquartered in Bridgeport, Texas, immediately north of Fort Worth. We are entirely funded by the general public and donations are tax deductible.

USESR rescues abused, neglected, abandoned, & slaughter-bound equine. They come to our Headquarters, which serves as our Intake Foster Care Facility. There, horses are evaluated for training & disposition so that they can be placed in an appropriate foster or adoptive home. The animals are vetted, trimmed, vaccinated, wormed, groomed, photographed, and a bio is created for the main website. USESR also has a website on Petfinder.com (search there by zip code 76426).

We are currently seeking foster homes in the Texas & Oklahoma areas. Fostering is free, you pay for the horse's care & use it like it's your own for as long as you are fostering.

There is a Foster Care FAQ on our main website. For more information, contact me through MySpace, or at [email protected], or call toll free 877-720-1685. The following horses are currently available for adoption. Some are also seeking a foster home. They all need financial sponsors. If you fall in love with one of these horses, ask me how you can help him or her.

My Interests

Everything having to do with horses.

I'd like to meet:

Everyone intersted in horse rescue, anyone interested in animal rescue, people who enjoy their horses, and YOU!

Music:

Contempary Christian, C&W, some pop, some rap. No classical or opera, ever!

Movies:

Action adventure, family, comedy. Not really into sappy love stories. Rather go catch the latest X-Men. Probably my all time favorite movie is "The Gods Must Be Crazy". If you have not caught this silly old movie on sattelite or cable TV, watch your TV listings for it.

Television:

LMN;Forensic Files, RFD-TV, and other educational/entertainment programs. I usually just watch movies on the movie channels.

Books:

I only read the Bible and other educational books. My life is exciting and full enough that I'm not interested in fiction or fantasy.

Heroes:

First, I have to name my husband, for supporting my horse rescue efforts and allowing me to stay home full-time and take care of animals. Second, I have to say that my heroes are the people who volunteer for and financially support the United States Equine Sanctuary & Rescue. I wish I had photos of all of them, but here are a few of them so that you can see the amazing group of people who make up USESR!
