Kent describes himself as a "people person." He has an innate ability to relax the client, look into their depths and encourage them to let their beauty, light and intellect shine. Whether it is in the studio or with the client within her own environment – he teases the treasure within to the surface.
Kent Ballard has assembled a team of artisans – hair, make-up and fashion designers – who do more than rubber stamp a style onto the client. They pamper and spoil the client, reminding her that she is beauty and deserves the time and attention. They choose color, cut, style and texture to suit the individual.
Finally Kent directs the shoot. First he analyzes the beauty's face. Which and what kind of light will showcase the queen's magnificence and put on display her best assets? Is it the eyes or the contours of the cheekbones that should be accentuated in the pose? Perhaps it is the slope of the neck or shoulder, a hand in repose, or the head angled in regal regard?
