Okay some new stuff here.. I just recieved my video series on Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu by Shimabukuro Masayuki. I have been working on the Shoden waza repeatedly. Every night in fact.. There are eleven forms and I follow Shimabukuro's instruction and perform each about 3 to 4 times.. The waza are as follows..
1. Mae
2. Migi
3. Hidari
4. Ushiro
5. Yaegaki
6. Ukenagashi
7. Kaishaku
8. Tsukekomi
9. Tsukikage
10. Oikaze
11. Nukiuchi
I have been told in the past that learning Japanese swordsmanship through self enlightenment is an impossibility. I am attempting to prove this notion incorrect. Although, if I could attend a Dojo I would, for the best instruction is found there. WIth that said, I am working hard and I am learning. It takes more and more patience and understanding with each day to grasp the simplest details of Japanese swordsmanship. I am the smallest particle in the universe of swordsmanship, but I will continue to grow.
