About Me

Feelaz started to get interested in electronic music in the mid-nineties. Around that time he moved to Poland after being born and raised in Germany until the age of 12. On a holiday in London he bought his first vinyl (mainly early Jungle & Breakbeat records) and from then ..ed to continuously expand his collection. A bit later the first "Tresor" parties, which had a big influence on him at this time, where organised in his hometown Poznan, and showed him the many forms of techno. In 1999 he met Pete Bull who dj'd and organised small underground parties for quite some time already. They got on very well so he invited Feelaz to play on some party together. After some time they started a residency in the very small but already cult club Centrala. In year 2000, after Centrala had to shut down they moved on to the MO club, which with their help transformed into Poznan’s No. 1 spot for all kinds of electronic music. Pete Bull moved to Warsaw in 2001 so Feelaz founded "Extension" to start something new. Soon the "Extension" crew started to organise parties in Poznan’s legendary Eskulap club and Feelaz began a 3 year residency in the great ZEZ club, which unfortunately had to shut down in mid-2004:-( Always looking for inspiration and new sounds he moved to London in 2005. Living there for 2 years of course had a big impact on him and, thanks to all the great recordshops over there helped develop his dj style into an even more eclectic mixture. During that time he had the opportunity to play regularly at London's premier beat bunker - Ginglik - as well as the critically acclaimed Polish the Dancefloor clubnight and quite a few other one off appearances including Alien Radio and Aquarium. The music he plays is not easy to describe, as firstly he hates boredom why he always tries to keep his booking schedule as varied as possible, and secondly he loves pushing boundaries and tries to both: entertain and educate the crowd, never forgetting to keep the funk and move the dancefloor! And with all the different influences he had over the years you can expect a whole spectrum of electronic music, ranging from various electro/breakbeat forms & sub-bass driven tunes, through microhouse and minimal, funky'n'classic techno up to electronica or downtempo stuff. It all depends on the party and the people... By now Feelaz has played nearly every decent underground club in Poland and also had the chance to bring his musical vision to such countries as: Germany (Tresor Club-Berlin, Osthafen-Berlin, Base-Sinzig), the UK (Ginglik-London, Gramaphone-London, Aquarium-London, Exit-London) and even the Mediterranean island of Malta (Liquid club-San Gwann, Infinity Festival-Zabbar). Over the years he has played alongside such a versatile bunch of artists as: Si Begg, The Hacker, DJ Assault, Tim Wright, Titonton Duvante, DJ Maxximus, Paul Brtschitsch, Adam Sky (ex-Adamski) & Neil Landstrumm amongst many others, which also gives you an impression of his varied DJ-style.
