MySpace CodesLes Anthonys love of rap music was apparent at the tender age of four, when he began entertaining family and friends at his home in Millard, Nebraska, a tiny suburb southwest of Omaha. It was to everyone's expectations that it was just a matter of time before Les would begin to realize his potential as a gifted rapper, singer, dancer and song writer.As a teenager, Les, now billing himself as Lethal Les, began experimenting with sounds, music and lyrics while becoming masterful at making mix tapes. In 2001 the opportunity presented itself and Lethal Les approached Eric Smurf Lewis, an up and coming rap artist, producer and member of the Team, one of Omahas hottest rap groups. Though Lethal Les was still in high school, Eric listened to the younger, wannabe rap stars tapes and took time to give some advice and encouragement. Later, when the Team disbanded, Eric remembered Lethal Les, his raw talent, energy and potential. As fate would have it, the two had mutual family connections and were reintroduced during Lethal Les freshman year of college. Timing was perfect and the two began working together, determined to push each other towards stardom.Living by his catch slogan which represents his current name of Casino, I have nothing to lose and everything to gain, Lethal Les changed his name to Casino and the collaborative stage was set. In 2002, under the auspices of Smurf, Casino wrote and co-produced the CD My Life My Hustle. Doing whatever he could to be heard and gain exposure, Casino sold his CD around town out of his car particularly on college campuses. His love ballad Do you Know? along with Message One, an upbeat single about the Iraq war and the title track My Life My Hustle, became popular cuts with his local fan base.No doubt, Casino followers cant wait for his next major effort, Casino-ology, which is due out soon, and hes well aware that hell need to step up his game. This new CD contains tracks which showcase not only his talents as a rap artist, but his growth as a writer and producer as well. With tracks like Baby Girl Yous a Cutie and Show You Where I Be, Casino wants to expand his influence beyond the college crowd and pay homage to his extended home town, which he calls The ONE meaning Omaha, NE.Theres nothing worth living for except life itself, says Casino. But for me, that just means Ill be working hard to achieve the goals Ive set for myself with regard to my music and my life.
