Lovin' McCain/Palin & the Dawgs.

About Me

I'm loving life right now. Love my family. Love my country. Love my job. Love my God. I'm keeping busy w/ work, politics, just a smidge of volunteering, the family, and the new baby. Normally, during primaries I'd be really obnoxious and riled up. This year just isn't doing it for me. I more depressed about this election than any prior. Obama flat out scares me. He's crossed that fine gray line between liberal and socialist. Don't get me started on McCain. As a person, I like him. As a politian, can't really stand him. I'll probably (not for sure yet) vote for him just because of supreme court justices. I hope he at least finds someone with a basic understanding of economics and the private sector to run as his vice. [insert giant sigh here]

My Interests

the FAIR TAX, politics, history, music, apologetics, scrapbooking, my community, the Constitution, did I mention the FairTax??

I'd like to meet:

John McCain, Barack Obabma, Neal Boortz and Judge Napolitano for starters.

Music:

Yes. I like music.

Movies:

August Rush, Stardust, The Princess Bride, Mr. Holland's Opus, Cold Comfort Farm, Grease, The Princess Diaries 1 & 2 (DON'T laugh), Long Kiss Goodnight, A Knights Tale, Harry Potters, and the Parent Trap (original and remake). I'm such a goober.

Television:

This season, diggin' Reaper, Smallville, House, and Bones. Subject to change after season finales.

Books:

A room without books is like a body with no soul. I'll read almost anything someone recommends.(Almost) However, there are some books I am able to read again and again. Harry Potter series, Inheritance series, Earth's Children series, anything Jennifer Cruise, and Gone With the Wind. Crisis of Conscience and In Search of Christian Freedom were helpful to me. I also HIGHLY recommend The Fair Tax Book. For a book about taxes, it is a surprisingly good read. I also think everyone should read The Constitution in Exile - very eye opening. I just finished Somebody's Gotta Say It. I highly recommend it.

Heroes:

Soldiers. My folks, who were both soldiers. My daughters, because they are so freakin' COOL. My husband, for more reasons than I can list.

My Blog

Survival of the Fittest Missed One

Firstly, I think MySpace should add a blog category labeled Idiots, because that's surely where I would have put this blog instead of Life, which seems to be my default. ANYWAY, please allow me to sha...

State of the Household Address

It's been an interesting week in the Blackburn home. Poor Gabe has been stuck out of town working since Sunday, so it's just been me and the girls at the house. We usually manage to settle into a nice...

Random Idea - and then some PORK

Wouldn’t it be interesting if people had to answer ten questions on their candidate before they were allowed to cast their vote? OR, what would happen if people just answered a series of questio...
