Ants first started getting into music back in the day in the early 80's, he was into BreakDancing and Bombing Subway Walls, Graffiti Style, with a crew called 'Zero Gravity'. They listened to the streetsounds of Electro, Grandmaster Flash, Herbie Hancock, Marle Marl, Dj Red Alert, all Old skool Hip Hop and about everything on Def Jam. They were part of Burnley Breakin' Crew, and Battled local towns.Years went by and still progressing with the scene, House Music hit the UK late 80's early 90's with warehouse raves, convoys etc etc. Ants started DJ'ing early 90's at Nightclubs in the Northwest of England, then venturing Abroad. Ants has been Dj'ing for 16 years and loves playing all types of House Music.. -sounds of Chicago, Detroit, New York, San Francisco all US Underground also enjoying all the unique sounds coming from the UK too. Ants is into a lot of Japanese Funk/Disco imports that are around , which is Top Stuff, Real Class-dinked 45's. He loves old Electro, Rare Funk, Rare Groove/Disco, Drum&Bass, Hip Hop/Turntablism, Electronica and Soul...Just about everything really. Ants is heavily influenced by different Artists, Dj's and Producers, old and new, just some to mention: Larry Heard, Kerri Chandler, Glenn Underground, Boo Williams, Larry Levan, Hippie Torales, Moodyman, Kevin Saunderson, Michael Jackson, George Benson, Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendegrass, Stevie Wonder, Lynn Collins, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, JB's, Herbie Hancock, Groove Armada, Public Enemy, Eric B & Rakim, Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Flash, Roxanne Shante, Andy Smith, Marcus Intalex and Mr Scruff. Far too many to mention!! The list goes on...............and on............... Not forgetting the Up and Coming talent of Burnley, Old and New.. You know who you are!!
Ants' flavour of different genres of music, Artists, Dj's & Producers, has inspired him to produce his own own material.
