As it is nearly the weekend I was wondering about live shows. This week I am going to pop along to one of the Xfactor shows as it looks like a stack of light hearted fun. And while I am busy putting the final touches to my "I love Eaton Road" banner - I was wondering whether weekend shows/gigs on the whole are better than midweek ones? As it applies to both folks in bands and fans of music which do you prefer - mid week or weekend gigs? And if your in a band given the choice would you rather keep it to playing on the the weekends, or do the best fans come out midweek?
Ps: Was kidding about the Eton Road Banner ;-)

So the Brit Awards is over for another year. Unfortunately did not get to go but did get to vote....not quite sure who came up with that idea but anyway ...... Were there any any big surprises for you?
Killers did pretty well didn't they - there are 2 cracking tunes on Sam's Town ( the singles). Interesting to see the Take that revival still in full force. Thought Liam's voice sounded bit sketchy for the Oasis set on TV - maybe a below par desk mix could be blamed? (Or is blaming the sound man all the time just a big excuse).
What did you think to the Brit Awards this year - Do they mean much in terms of the state of music, are they just an excuse for a music industry party?

We've just added the "Which Is The Best Music Festival?" poll. Which one does it for you? Is it Glastonbury , Reading or V? Simply add your vote on your favourite festival! R

Ok here is my take - The Glastonbury Festival is great for the whole experience, culture, fun and non stop party vide - but it scores a bit low on the "What if I need to go buy some cheap food, or want to pop down the Pub or use a normal loo scale". Reading Festival however may not have the full experience factor as Glast - but handy cos you can get there quite easily and nip into the town and restock, grab a bite and get back in time for the afternoon acts.
So which one does it for you - Reading or Glastonbury?
Let me know
