  BIG SKY MIND is a power trio hailing from Windsor, Ontario that performs classic rock and heavy blues in the spirit of bands like The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Cream, Led Zeppelin and The Allman Brothers Band. The strength of BIG SKY MIND lies in their ability to improvise and jam out crowd favourites from these bands as well as artists such as Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan and others. Their improvisational skill, coupled with an ever-changing set list, ensures that no two BIG SKY MIND shows are alike.
The band features RAY CHATTERJEE on guitar and lead vocals. RAY's skills on guitar enable him to emulate the sounds and playing styles of guitar greats like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana and Jimmy Page, while simultaneously showcasing his own talent, imagination and musical creativity through improvisation. RAY has been playing guitar for approximately 20 years, and is currently a guitar instructor at three local music stores. He is a veteran of the Windsor bar music scene, having performed for Windsor audiences since the early 1990s. RAY is a welcomed guest at a number of local jams, and through the years, he has earned the respect and admiration of many local musicians. During performances, RAY is the showman, with a myriad of guitar tricks up his sleeve, mirroring the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Guy.
On bass, ROB FILIPOV is the anchor for BIG SKY MIND. He maintains a musical structure over which the guitar and drums are able to improvise, in the style of bass players like Billy Cox (Jimi Hendrix) and John Entwhistle (The Who). ROB's playing style is an excellent complement to Ray's guitar showmanship.
On drums and backing vocals, GUY BASTIEN provides the beat and energy for BIG SKY MIND. His style of play is reminiscent of drummers like Ginger Baker (Cream) and Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix). GUY has been playing drums for over 25 years, and has performed in local clubs for over 15 years. GUY has developed a musical synergy with Ray which allows the two of them to lock in together and improvise musically in a variety of musical styles. GUY's high-energy approach to the drums powers the band to great musical heights night in and night out.
