About Me

PLEASE GO HERE TO LISTEN TO SAMPLES OF MUSIC I AM COMPOSING: www.myspace.com/scottyhughesmusic --------------- I live, eat and breath in Canada's deep southlands.... and with Motown, The Motor City, Detroit being our next door neighbour, the music and life around these parts is very exciting and on the move.... nothin' like it anywhere else from my experience, especially if you dig one chord groove! ---------------I've been performing with hundreds of musicians and artists in many different collaborations since i was a young lad of 10 years (do the math).... There are so many great musicians in these parts and I really love playin' with those that listen -- and that we do, when we do --------------- Currently I'm playing guitar with many different folks and have been known to have recently perform with: THE OVERTIME COMBO -- HULADOG --- RON LEARY --- MR. CHILL --- COMBO DELUXE --- RAY'S RIGHT FENDER --- HOAGIE & THE KINGFISH --- THE FURNITURE PEOPLE --- KENNETH MACLEOD --- THE MONDAY MILKMEN and many other bands throughout the years in the WINDSOR, DETROIT and TORONTO, CANADA area --------------- As a producer and co-producer, both my large and small scale (live) multimedia art collaborations have included: TUNA BRAIN with zYn in 1994; SYNECTIKOS in 1989/90; THE ELECTRIC KETTLE WORKS with 345 in 1985; DATA TRANSFER in 1984. --------------- Some may also remember the bands from the distant past as well: THE TOMCATS, THE DOUGALLS, H-SKYWARD, THE OFY BIG BAND --------------- In my home studio I am working on a compilation recording of my soundscape field recordings and experimental audio works from the past couple decades, due to be mixed/mastered and released sometime later this year. --------------- I also work as a freelance graphic artist, a project manager and creative director, and a writer, illustrator and photographer. I have had much good fortune and many published successes over the years, and I will be posting example pix and links of my work on here soon --------------- (Check out my 'Networking' area) more to come as it happens my friends.... . . . . . . ! --- BE SURE TO check out Mike Beauchamp's "CROSS CANADA PROJECT" trailer for his upcoming video: ---
