Music, music, music....ok, and my dog, paper arts, and oh yeah, NASCAR.
Not a lot of people on this list....I guess the obvious person is Taylor Hicks. But I am a very quiet, reserved person who likes to observe. Not really into the social scene that much. Oh, and I would love to meet Tony Stewart, too. All the other people on my list are dead. That sounds really warped but it's true....Franklin Roosevelt, John Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr....you get the idea.
Nearly anything. But mostly the blues, jazz, big band, authentic Texas country, western swing, 80's Euro pop....too many artists to name but the BIGGIES are Stevie Ray Vaughn, U2, BB King, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Bob Wills, Charlie Robison, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Mike McClure Band, Spoonful James, Wynn Christian, Adam Hood, The Greyhounds, Wayne Mills Band, Pinetop Perkins, Guitar Watson, Joe Ely, The Eagles, Ernest Tubb, Townes Van Zandt, Guy Forsyth, Bleu Edmondson, Robert Earl Keen, Muddy Waters, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat Cole, Duran Duran (the list gets a little weird here, huh?) Thompson Twins, Bananarama, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, John Mellencamp, Johnny Cash, Michael Warren, LMBO, and Taylor Hicks. Some serious (and seriously fantastic) musicians.
I don't care for new movies that much. I love almost anything OLD...meaning filmed long before I was born...some favorites are The Women, Gone With the Wind, It's a Wonderful Life, Meet John Doe, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, The Philadelphia Story, The Major and the Minor, The Rage of Paris, Arsenic and Old Lace, Bringing Up Baby, Kitty Foyle, A Streetcar Named Desire, Laura, Mrs. Miniver, and the ENTIRE Thin Man Series
Grey's Anatomy, Boston Legal, Food Network (especially anything with Alton Brown) and historical documentaries. Gosh I sound thrilling. Oh, and British comedies.
Mysteries, esp Agatha Christie's Poirot series. All Jane Austen (Pride and Prejudice should be read and re-read annually) Daphne DuMaurier (Rebecca).....actually realized I have entirely too many to even think of naming. I love books. Period.
My mom. My great-grandmother. Any person who has ever tried in their own small or large way to help another person. All are heroes to me.
