With names like NBA Slam Dunk Champion Jason Richardson and NFL Wide Receiver Charles Rogers, Saginaw is known for its true athleticism within the entertainment world. Enter J. Anise, a conscious-first, sexy-second female songwriter/rapper who has dreams to make it big within the entertainment world, without playing a professional sport.Growing up on the east side of Saginaw, this 19-year old deep soul has always been different. As a child, J. Anise was different from her other family members. I was a ham, she explains as her other family members were more serious and studious. They all wore glasses and I didnt, she jokes. She grew up in an educational environment, where both of her parents were educators. School was always the number one priority, but I did not always agree with it. During her childhood years, she grew fond of the music industry by playing Clarinet for eight years. Band was my first love and will always be. I love music. She also had a love for writing by keeping a diary of short stories and winning essay contests.High school years were also very different for J. Anise. I never knew exactly what I wanted to do after high school. I just knew that I wanted to be happy. After graduation, she confessed to her brother about what exactly it was she wanted to do for the rest of her life. I told him that I wanted to make GOOD music, for the people. I wanted to talk about my life experiences and how they related to everybody. Since then, J. Anise has written over 150 unreleased songs for herself and others within the music industry. Im just waiting for my spaceship, my shoebox is getting quite full. J. Anise is also working on her debut rap album, titled Talent, which will be finished later this year.With used to being different, J. Anise feels that she will be bringing something special to the game of music. My style is different because Im not the average female rapper. My main goal behind my lyrics is conscious-based. I have my own identity. I feel that the most successful people in life are the ones that are true to themselves by having their own identity. As this focused individual begins her journey into stardom, she will remain humble and keep God first. I believe that through God, all is possible and that I can (and will) accomplish my goals.
