Teenage Gangs

I am a self-experimental song-maker that likes to play guitars and drums and piano. I record all of my little diddies in a bedroom or a garage with a Roland VS880 digital recorder and 2 SM58 microphones. I started playing music as a lad at the age of 12, when my older brother gave me his cheap-o christmas present bass guitar and amp. He showed me where the note names corresponded and how to play the scales. Nearly two years later, my friend and bandmate Jesse Maguire of In Your Pants and Subject To Change sold me a guitar and amplifier he had sitting around. I tormented my fingers trying to learn the chords. I figured rather than finding someone to shlep their drums around to my house and theirs, I would purchase my own set on eBay. So Brother Joe and I traveled up to Tampa to hit Busch Gardens and pick up the drums from this aging hipster who was starting a family and giving up on his rockstar dreams. So after months of noise and frustration we decided we needed to record some of this magic! That's about the time we hit up eBay again for the recording unit and a few microphones. Our first endeavor in the recording process was Gloria Patri; a short hymn with arrogantly loud guitars. After nearly six months and several failed attempts at songs such as On Good Faith, Birds Arms Are Wings, and Song, we more or less stopped trying as a collective. Since, Jospeh has moved to North Georgia, Jesse has gone to Tally and back and writing and playing music has seemingly died from their hearts. This really seems like the only thing I've been able to consistantly improve at while at the same time enjoy myself so much. So please be judgemental and cruel and honest and try to enjoy.
