About Me

I am a SWF living in Brandon ,Fla.I'm of Scots/Irish,Native American Indian(Creek/Cherokee)descent though obviously it's my Irish ancestry that's evident.I have two really great kids,one that lives at home and one that is grown but still can't seem to leave home yet,lol.I grew up in the Tampa Bay area but moved away for quite awhile living many different places and have somehow ended up right where I started,much to my surprise(and sometimes chagrin).I work as a secretary but still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.I have been described as funny(if you have no sense of humor,we are likely not friends),intelligent,kind,giving,and very open minded. To be fair,I have also been described as brooding,pensive,sarcastic,dark,and closed off emotionally but hey,we all have our darker side do we not? I am a nature girl at heart.Love to be outdoors,woods,beach,mountains you name it.That is where I feel the most peaceful.So here I am in the middle of an ugly city,sorry fellow neighbors,Brandon is just sooo ugly, wishing I were somewhere else.I love all creatures great and small with a few exceptions:sharks,alligators,kimodo dragons , roaches,and most of my exes,lol..Do not ever present any of these to me as a gift!!My ideal set up would be a log cabin somewhere in Montana or Alaska with lots of land and tons of critters running around.Or a place on the beach of course.Thank God my apartment has a view of a lake with alot of pretty water birds to look at or I'd go nuts!!

My Interests

I am an avid reader,unpublished writer. I am very much a family person and spend alot of time with my kids,my sister, cousin and her kids.I like meeting new people,traveling,going to the beach,music, movies,art,learning about other cultures,being in the great outdoors.I adore animals,have one dog who is completely spoiled!

I read alot,average 4-5 books a week.Don't read romances or sci-fi.I love to read about the occult.Stephen King is my favorite author,I also love Anne Rice.

Heroes:

Our men and women serving in the Armed Forces.I don't agree with the politics involved in this war because it stopped being about finding terrorists along time ago.So many lives have been lost needlessly.I commend them for their bravery and thank them for believing in our nation enough to fight for us here back at home.
