About Me

Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the vince.

My Interests

The music. More music. I'm sure I used to have other hobbies, once. Surely?

I'd like to meet:

Anyone I can't offend inside a week, if such a person exists.

Music:

Anything that actually steps out of the background. Not necessarily soul music, but music with SOUL. Anything that makes me dance, laugh, cry or grin like a monkey.

Movies:

Something with a plot that involves more than a man in a vest running away from explosions.

Television:

Try to avoid it wherever possible. Maybe a little bit of Adult Swim, but basically all the TV I watch is on the computer. Boosh, Twin Peaks, South Park, QI, etc. Oh yes, and House. Gotta love Dr. House, he's one of those characters that makes me feel like quite a nice person.

Books:

I used to be an exceptionally voracious reader, but adulthood and a total lack of time has severely slowed my reading. The list is fairly eclectic and to be frank largely random in places, so I won't bore you with it. Last book I read was Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman, current book is Kant and the Platypus by Umberto Eco. And it's making my brain bleed.

Heroes:

David Lynch, Les Claypool, MC Hawking, Dokaka, Bernie Worrell. .. And whoever the hell this is! This is my newest hero!

My Blog

Cello!

On a lighter note...

Hmmm...it's occurred to me that this blog thing might be giving a slightly skewed view of quite the sort of person I am...the use of detailing one's life to a blank anonymous audience as catharsis may...
