Tony Pereyra was borned in Murcia, Spain. At the age of 6 he starts his music studies learning piano and music theory and he soon becomes influenced by classical composers. He also begins to show interest in the electric guitar and a style closer to modern music. Due to this interest he starts to study electric guitar, harmony and composition in depth at The Institute of Music and Technology in Madrid (I.M.T.). During this time, he is influenced by severals kinds of music : from rock to jazz , contemporary composers and soundtracks. After finishing his studies he works as a session musician in Madrid, spending his time between playing and teaching at I.M.T .Due to his activity as a teacher he has the opportunity to meet several artists who come to the music school (www.imtmad.com ). He meets artists like Scott Henderson, Joe Zawinul,Victor Bailey, Steve Morse, Richie Kotzen and Mattias IA Eklundh (with whom Tony keeps a nice friendship). He plays with several bands, some of them in the Spanish Top Chart . He also works in his own solo career, receiving very good critics from the Spanish Magazine "Guitarrista Actual". The spanish magazine wrote: ´It is not necessary to go out of Spain to find guitarist of a great level and on top of that so creatives. This is the case of Tony Pereyra. Listening to the first track of the CD you can perceive the musical qualities of this guitar player with murcian origins. A great technique to the service of music and an awesome creativity.Tony´s stamp is based in mixing several kinds of music like rock, jazz and classical music but avoiding the neoclassical repetitions we are so used to listen to. Tony´s music goes further because his guitar is moving through orchestral passages worthy of film scores. In fact the fifth track of the CD is an instrumental piece that Tim Burton would surely want for his next movie". Performing his music, Tony was the opening artist of the spanish Freak Kitchen Tour in 2005. Same year (2005) he re-locates to London. Once settled in London he works as a session musician , arranger and composer in several projects in London and Paris. In 2006 he joins the Nu Soul/Funk Band "Harambe" releasing the Album "Testiy" with them in Europe and Japan. In 2007 he performs at the Frankfurt Musikmesse doing a demonstration for the french guitar brand Kronodale.Same year he collaborates with his guitars in the '8008', the brand new album of the french top chart singer GILLES LUKA (www.gillesluka.com). Tony is currently working on his solo project, while teaching and giving performances as a solo artist and with Harambe.
