BIOGRAPHYThe Smith Brothers consists of three biological brothers that reign from Strong Island, New York. They are known individually as J.O., Chase, and Big El. J.O. and Chase are identical twin brothers and Big El is the eldest of the three. These brothers have been involved in Hip Hop music for over a decade. The Brothers got their early start in Hip Hop emceeing and deejaying in New York. By the mid-1990s, the SBs formed a production company, simply known as Smith Brothers Entertainment. In 1996, they secured a production deal with Kedar Entertainment/Universal Records. Through this joint venture deal, the SBs delivered to the world their first artist: a twelve year old rap phenomenon known as A+.Kedar Massenberg (former Chairman of Motown Records) was so impressed with the Smith Brothers talent, artist development abilities and production skills that he offered to manage the Brothers. This resulted in a lucrative publishing deal for the Brothers with BMG Music Publishing. The Smith Brothers have gone on to work with many of todays great industry talents such as: Raekwon, Ghostface, 50 Cents, Petey Pablo, Prodigy of Mobb Deep, David Banner, A.Z., Q-Tip, Joe, Chico DeBarge and others.The SBs have also taken their talents and branched out to write and produce music for other genres, customized theme songs for professional sports teams, as well as commercial jingles. Through alternative music branding and marketing, the Smith Brothers have written and produced custom songs for the Chicago Bulls, Orlando Magic, Denver Broncos, Footlocker and Reebok. The Smith Brothers share a very grassroots Motown approach to developing and grooming artists. They are poised to strike out again with the next generation of Hip Hop stars, including: CR from Yonkers, New York.
