About Me

In the early summer of 2006 three guys got together to make music. So begins the common story of countless bands including The Holdup. What makes any particular story worth while is diverse band members, a great writing team, and finally the music. The three guys, including Tyler Scurti and Danny Flores, as the original Holdup band members, were serious about their music and in those first days penned songs including the catchy tune "Come Back to Cali", but something was still missing. In autumn of 2006 they found their missing link; an unknown, struggling, solo artist named Mike Garmany. Mike, who was already unknowingly writing songs including "Wake Up" that would eventually become a part of The Holdup's regular play list, Became a valued member of the newly formed band . A few months later they added another addition to the group, Kyle Christensen, (formerly from Mulligan) to play on bass. With a new lead vocalist and Bassist the chemistry and fit were undeniable and The Holdup was complete. "We are The Holdup and we like to play dope ass music. feel dat bass shake your nuts and perk your titties."
