HAUNTED PLAYGROUND was founded by Æro at eight years of age, a year later Laake joined as keyboardist; both provide vocals. Æro was banned from the San Luis Obispo street market for being too disturbing to the old folks. NBetween them they've had numerous appearences on local (Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo) news and TV shows; including episodes of "Come with Us", on Channel 17 Santa Barbara. The boys are favorite in the S.B. Summer Soltice Festival, they've been in the parade three times, featured once at the lead of the parade, in 2005, as the "Santa Barbarians", by Ricardo Morrison (S.B. Soltice Artistic Director) also playing four shows on the festival stage. Again, in 2006, when they closed down the East-side of the festival, on-stage with the "Soltice Set".
Altogether, including parades, they've played live in front of more 50.000 people______________________________________________________
