I Reveries nascono dal duo Ecatombe, formato nel dicembre 2006 da Andrea de Franco e Alessio Saponaro con l'intenzione di NON suonare cover. Nel marzo 2006 la formazione è completata con Mino di Punzio, Andrea Pantano e Andrea Angelini. La band, ora ufficialmente Reveries, inizia i primi concerti in piccole realtà locali ed inizia a lavorare su pezzi propri. Dopo un anno Alessio Saponaro lascia il gruppo. Il suo posto alla batteria viene preso da Andrea Pantano (fino ad allora bassista) mentre il basso viene affidato a Luigi Miano.
Con questa formazione la band continua a suonare, scrivere pezzi ed entra nel giugno 2007 i Fullblast Studios per registrare il loro primo EP - 8 canzoni, 28 minuti, con la produzione di Fabrizio Giannone - che sarà disponibile da settembre.
Poco prima della partecipazione della band al 5° South's Cheyenne - in cui la band si posiziona seconda al Metal Contest - Luigi Miano lascia la band. Dopo due settimane, Francesco Cervellera (ex-A Different Theory) entra ufficialmente nella formazione.

Reveries were born from the duo Ecatombe, formed in december 2005 by Andrea de Franco and Alessio Saponaro with the precise intent NOT to play cover songs. The line-up was established in march 2006 with Mino di Punzio, Andrea Pantano and Andrea Angelini. The band, now officially Reveries, started to play the first concerts and to write their own songs. In march 2007 Alessio Saponaro left the band. The new drummer was Andrea Pantano (ex-bassist) and Luigi Miano joined the band as a bassist.
The band continued to play concerts and to write songs, and this line-up entered Fullblast Studios in June 2007 in order to record their first EP - 8 songs, 28-min running time - under the production of Fabrizio Giannone. It will be available in September.
Luigi Miano left the band before Reveries' participation at 5° South's Cheyenne - where they won the 2° prize in the metal festival. Two weeks later, Francesco Cervellera (ex-A Different Theory) joined the band.
