Professional musician since 1974; joined first gospel group in 1974 called the O'Neil Twins; in the 1980's Terry joined a band called Sheer NRG and opened for recording acts such as Kool and the Gang, Evelyn "Champagne" King; The Whispers; Roger and Zapp; ZZ Hill and Frankie Beverly and Maze. In 1988, he played for gospel great James Cleveland's Gospel Music Workshop of America until 1997, when he settled back in Saint Louis to record his own music.
