About Me

If Neil Diamond and GOD were to get into a fight, who would win???? Hah! Trick question... Neil Diamond is GOD!

My Interests

The big four of course... work, drink, Netflix, read...

I'd like to meet:

"Which path do you intend to take? Conformity or rebellion? - Neither. Both ways are simple minded, they are only for people who cannot cope with contradiction and ambiguity."

Music:

You give me something with a mean banjo and I'll roll over and let you rub my tummy. But seriously, get an ipod. Find a friend with great taste and rob her blind with empty promises of returning the favor. Thanks Em. Be greedy. It's a total power trip when the thing says you have 7.8 days of music. In semi alpha order - Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Atmosphere, Baker Act (I think there is money to be made in "Louie the Lounge Act"), Beasties and the Beatles, Belle & Sebastion, slow Ben Folds, Beta Band, Billie Holiday, Blur, Brand New, Butthole Surfers, Cake, Candlebox still, Charles Wright, Chemical Brothers, Combustible Edison (see above comment on lounge acts), The Cure, my main pusher man Curtis Mayfield, DMB for that frat boy inside me I keep beaten to a bloody pulp locked in my trunk, couple of DJ's with various esoteric names, Dre, Elvis, Eric Clpaton being one of the greatest blues guitarists of all time, and if you don't believe me, I've got a 2 hour jam with him and Duane Allman circa 1972 that'll knock your socks off, Fogging Molly, and Dropkick Murphys cover of Amazing Grace will be played at my funeral at top volume, Mr. Sinatra, Chopin (Thanks again Em), Freestylers, Mr. Angry Black Man himself Gil Scott Heron who was layin it down about the struggle long before most us were an itch in Daddy, G Master Flash, any and all live Dead stuff (Looks Like Rain gets me all dreamy eyed), Incubus, INXS, Jack Johnson who is slowly working his way to beaten frat boy status, Forever James Brown, Forever Jane's Addiction, orignal Hova Jay-Z, Hendrix, Buffet, and Mr. nipple exposing boy wonder himself J. Timberlake, Britney had it so better with you, that guy she's with right now is a complete tool. oh yeah, Tool, I like them too, Keller Williams, Kid Koala, The Killers, Led Zeppelin, Lords of Acid (gets me all hot now the way NIN used to), Manu Chao, Marvin Gaye, Mazzy Star (So Tonight That I Might See is the second greatest album ever to make out to), Modest Mouse, Mooney Suzuki, some Morrisey, Motley Crue (and anyone who knows me, knows the ols t-shirt that's been glued back together on 2 seperate occasions), Mouse on Mars, Nightmares on Wax, Nina Simone, Nirvana, Offspring but pretty much only the album Smash, Otis Redding, selected tracks from Our Lady Peace, Pearl Jam, Phish of course, Pink Floyd, and more selected tracks from PJ Harvey, Postal Service, Primal Scream, Radiohead, Rage Against the Hand That Feeds You (thanks Lou), the Shins ("This song will change your life"... whatever), Smashing Pumpkins, the Smiths, Snow Patrol, Static-X for driving fast, STP, The Streets, Sublime, Tenacious D (beaten frat boy again), They Might Be Giants, Thievery Corp., Tom Petty and his merry band of Heartbreakers, Tori (note- never fool around when Tori is playing, there is no other way to ensure that the girl you are kissing is NOT thinking about you), Tribe Called Quest represent represent sent, U2, Ween, Weezer (but not Maladroit), Wyclef, and Wilco pretty much constantly. Oh shit... almost slipped by, any song sung by either Homer Simpson or the Animaniacs.

Movies:

The muppets - manamana

it doesn't get much better than this. Top 5 - Casablanca, Die Hard, Beautiful Girls, L.A. Story, and Princess Bride needs to watch her friggin back, cuz for some reason John Wayne seems to be coming on strong.

Television:

"Watching endless hours of reality television when you could be having really raunchy sex with someone you love, that is evil." - Michael Moore

Books:

"I hate to advocate drugs, alchohol, violence or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me." - Hunter S. Thompson - 1937 - 2005. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Crazy bastard finally did it... Cheers.seem to be in the habit of adding to the "about me" type areas this evening. you hear they shot hunter's ashes out of a gonzo fist shaped cannon a few weekends ago? they guy still has style only appropiate to him. what have i been reading? well, i haven't read harry potter yet, but i know who dies on like pg. 590 something. stoopid t-shirt hell.com. i have been listening to "the art of war" in my car the past few days. it's voiceed by ron silver and b.d. wong. doesn't get more surreal and trite as that. they did talk about the number 5 last night. 5 notes - endless combination of music that no person will ever completely hear, 5 colors - endless combination of colors no person will ever completely see, 5 taste sensations - endless combination, no person will ever completely experience. worthy of a note. oh and i am learing how to destroy and demoralize your army. so bite me.

Heroes:

Your Mom and Spider-Man.
