Here, beside Tooting Bec Lido under the summer heat wearing rose-tinted spectacles reclines Tooting Beach. In the past it was common land to graze livestock and before that a wild wood next to a roman road. Now its a place for people to relax and catch the sun. As H2O evaporates from the grass cells & the skin of sunbathers it mingles with the music emanating from the ubiquitous white pods, mobile subwoofers, shimmering trees and everyday people to create a humid palette of styles.

Tooting Beach is home made and grown, down to earth & inspirational. If you've found this beach before and it inspires you or there is somewhere similar around the globe, spread the word and let your inner cities become our resorts.
