SYRIA

Following the breakup of the Ottoman Empire during World War I, I was administered by the French until independence in 1946. In the 1967 Arab-Israeli War, I lost the Golan Heights to Israel.: ( Since 1976 untill recently, my troops have been stationed in Lebanon, ostensibly in a peacekeeping capacity, But the U.S. and the U.N. pressured my withdraw, I don't want another Iraq War against me. Over the past decade, Isreal and I have been holding the occasional peace talks over the return of the Golan Heights, but it doesn't look promising. Also, I have about 19,000,000 People, I have about 5,000,000 in the Armed Services which I might add are the BEST in the Arab World, thank you, thank you.
