About Me

I'm Ted and I love a laugh but I also have a deeper side. I love learning new things constantly and currently I'm studying for a degree in psychology. The more I learn about life the more there is to learn and just when I think I understand what it's all about something comes along and changes my perception. That's great though as life would be pretty boring if nothing ever changed

Primarily I describe myself as a Buddhist but I've tasted many religions over the years and finally settled on a kind of mixture of Buddhism, Paganism, Taoism, and Spiritualism, though it's more of a philosophy on life than a religion that I follow. I believe in being open-minded but not gullible.

I'm a strong believer in the human rights movement and a member of Amnesty International. I have absolutely no time for discrimination, bigitory or intolerance. So if you are that sort of small-minded person (sexist, racist, homophobic, ignorant, violent, hateful, or otherwise any other type of brainless idiot) don't even bother trying to talk to me. All others are very welcome.

So leave me a comment, message me, or send me your thoughts telepathically if you have that particular ability :)

Television:

I like all those really boring documentries that are shown on BBC4 and Discovery. Lost is good, as is My Name Is Earl and I like most comedy programmes.

Books:

I like science fiction and fantasy books but I will read anything that is vaguely intelligent, interesting or funny. My favourite authors are Robert A Heinlein, Piers Anthony, John Wyndham, Douglas Adams, Isaac Asimov, Micheal Moore and if you ever get the chance to read The Good Soldier Svejk by Jaroslav Hasek do so because it is a wonderful and much unheard of book that should be a classic.

Heroes:

The Dalai Lama Paddington Bear Yogi Bear Rupert The Bear
