The band "Fading Circles" was founded in 2002 as a successor of the Nikhotynnus. The members of the
reformed band were: István "Putyi" Csiszer - guitar, vocal, Laszlo Csiszer - drums, Arthur Hompoth -
bass and Attila Szakal - guitar. Attila Szakal left the band due to our musical trend in the beginning
of 2003, thus the band continued working with the remaining three members.
In the spring of 2003 they made a demo record, which contains the following songs:
1. Intro
2. Stop The Time
3. Cold Blood Song
4. Dirty Love
5. ...As the Circles Fade Away
The material is quite peculiar because it was done in the dressing room of Csikszereda’s stadium. The
recordings were made on a computer by Speedy Gonzales (Attila Peter). Everything was played live, that
is why the whole material sounds very dynamic. Due to the fact that the bass-player, Arthur Hompoth
was also leaving the band, only two of them (Istvan Cs., Laszlo Cs.) have done all the work; you can
hear the original bass-player only in Dirty Love. The songs and lyrics were written by Putyi Csiszer.
The band had a short period of break until November 2003, when they were joined by a new guitar
player, Barna Balint, formerly at Sacrum and Dirty Job. After three months of continuous searching
they found a bass-player, Hunor Nagy. Since then new songs were made.
In April 2004 they have won the best bass-player award at the Saint George Rock Night talent-searcher
organized for Saint George Days in Sepsiszentgyorgy. In July they played at the biggest rock festival
of Transsylvania, The 3rd Rock Marathon. Recently there has been another change in the membership of
the band, they have a new drummer, Csongor Gyorgy.
In 26 March 2005, the band earned the second place on the first ’Maximum Rock Challenge
Festival’, which was held in Kolozsvár (Cluj), and this festival was formed to support the romanian
underground community. The guitarist of the band, Putyi, also won the award ’Guitarist Of The
Festival’.
On 1 April the group had a club concert, which was part of the Saint George Rock Night festival. Then,
on 14 July, they could play for the Transylvanian fans on the 4th Rock Marathon, organized at Szejke
baths. In the autumn the band entered for the MediaFame, organized by the Transindex
( http://mediabefuto.transindex.ro ),
where getting through the qualifying round and the regional competition, they won the high price of
the national competition in the best song and music categories, and as a special award, they can have
a concert in 2006 on the Felsziget Festival ( www.felsziget.ro ), and the Free Summer University at
Balvanyos ( www.tusvanyos.ro ). Hitherto the
biggest concert of the band was at the Monsters of Transylvania festival which took place on 26
November 2005 in the sports hall in Marosvasarhely. On that festival bands like ANVIL (Canada),
PHANTOM-X (U.S.A.), IRON MASK (Belgium), NORTHERN LIGHTS (Turkey), TUZMADAR (Hu), TAINE (Ro), GOTHIC
(Ro), iCoRy (Ro) concerted. On 10 December 2005 the Fading Circles had their first separate concert,
which took place in Udvarhely in the Alcatraz club. The boys terminated their 2005 tour of concerts
as the main band of the RockXMas festival organized on 23 December in Marosvasarhely.
In the spring of 2006 the band went to the studio to record a couple of songs. On 13 may the
band participated on the Sting Underground Club (Bp, XIX. Ulloi ut 243.) and then on the semifinals
of the MA-TE-R Search for the Talented Rock Festival organized by the Hungarian Music and Cultural
Foundation which took place in Budapest in 2006. They succeeded to enter the final, which was
organized on 20 may 2006. The show on 20 may 2006 brought more success for the boys, because they
returned home with the main prize of the festival: a purchasing warrant worth 100.000 HUFt.
In July the band participated on the most important rock festivals in Transylvania: on the 11th in
Tusnad Spa, in the MIERT EU camp they played before the Republic, a famous band from Hungary; on the
13th they played before the Hungarian Aurora band on the V. Rock Marathon organized in Transylvania
(Szekelyudvarhely-Szejke Spa); on the 21st they played in Tusnad Spa again after the Hungarian
Karthago and the Transylvanian TransylMania, on the Free Summer University of Tusvanyos; then on the
26th the band opened the program of the Félsziget Festival on the Weekend stage (Big Stage) before
the Altar and Pokolgep.
