Actress, Voiceover, Print

About Me

I have been acting in tv, film, commercials, industrials, voiceovers, print and theatre professionally for over a decade. I knew I wanted to be an actress at 3 years old literally. This light skinned, curly hair, snotty-nosed little boy named Antoine in my day care class was one of the kids on the children's show, Romper Room. We only got to watch tv on the days he was on there. I wasn't jealous, I just knew I could be one of those kids. My first television appearance was at the age of 8. It could have been at age 5, but I won't talk about that. It still bothers me.:-) My first performance was as an orator on the local tv show, Evening Magazine when Oprah was still in town. Two or three days a week my elemenatry school would bus the best and brightest to a place called Learning to Read through the Arts. I learned acting, dancing, and writing. My first tv appearance was there. My first short story was written there, also. It was on Gladys Knight and the Pips. I remember the teacher, Ms. White, posting it on the board and the class being mesmerized. My dance teacher was just like Debbie Allen from FAME! fame. My favorite show at the time. I loved it! By the way, my first agent told me, " to look at you, I didn't think that you would be able to act, but when you opened your mouth, you lit up the room". I booked my first audition with that agent, too. (Never underestimate me)From that to being a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists. I have won numerous acting, oratory, creative writing, poetry, marketing, fundraising and outstanding citizen awards. God has blessed me. I was raised in the Apostolic church, and being an actress was shunned. Let's just say, we've all matured in that area. I have been trained by and worked with some of the greats in the industry, whom I study, and whom I will one day continue to advance my craft to be like. Timing is everything, and my time will come. The journey is the destination, of course, so I'm enjoying the journey. To some it up, I am an Entertainer. It's my calling. I have passion, structure and control in my acting and am confident in my ability to analyze and interpret the script. I am a quick learner and take direction well. Comedy to drama is not a problem, and I'm a master at changing my look and voice to fit the role.
