Hi My name of course as you can see William Shipman, known to all my friends as Butch. I am originally from Brooklyn New York, a place that will always be in my heart. I've had the privilidge of spending a lot of my childhood in Fayetteville, that's right North Carolina good food and good People; I dont think there is anything I love more than acting except family; and people I consider friends. One thing I've learned in pursuing my acting career is patience, and believe me I've been blessed with an over abundance of patience. I started out working on a film He Said She Said, wait let me back up it was Avalon, and the excitement just overwhelmed me, thats when patience was tested, we all know how many times they can do a scene over and over again. When the movie was released I searched for my scene with a fine tooth comb, I checked everywhere EXCEPT the cutting room floor. But hey it didnt matter I WAS IN A FILM. and I just wasnt bitten by the Acting Bug, I was ATE UP. Then came commercials like a local car insurance company KATZ, then I wanted more, so I started sending out headshots, and to my excitement came Homicide Life on the streets and the excitement grew even more, and I wanted more, then Meteorman, In the Line of Fire, Get on the Bus, Forest Gump,Pelican Brief, now Im REAL HUNGRY. MORE I need MORE. so more headshots went out and some TV came, America's Most Wanted, The Corner, The Wire, Dave Chappelle, Between these projects, I had the GREAT EXPERIENCE of working with some of Howard University's GREATEST writers, directors, and industry people, such as Paris Davis, Rose Marie Jones, Stephen Gilmore, then came more of Howards Greatest such as... I got to put his name in caps COREY GRANT, who really gave me a chance to test my skills, and let me know that... hey you can do this, and I really appreciated him sharing his knowledge. I had the opportunity of working on quite a few of his projects and feature films such as "Hip Hop Task Force" even going out to L.A. thats right HOLLYWOOD to work on another one of his Feature Films "Studio" (great experience) Now through this meeting of (Corey Grant) I've had the opportunity to meet other inspiring folk such as hey.. all caps E. GREEN, Stefan Latour, Rodney McKissack, B.Pratt. I mention these names because they are indeed my friends, and believe me you will see these names again as long as there are movies, TV and Theatre. Now speaking of Theatre I've had the wonderful opportunity to perform on stage in productions such as Mama's Lessons God's Blessings, The Pastor Set Me up, and a couple of plays by One of the Greatest Playwrites I know Glen Alan in his production(s) "Don't Sing No Blues for Me" and most recently "The Blues of Lula Mae Jenkins" A Must See and will be coming to a theater in your city so keep your ears and eyes open. For me this is just the beginning. You will see me again...all over the place. So watch out for a Brother. Take care yall and may God Bless [URL=http://www.slide.com/s/sFWtncx9qT-66v9ZCTfFrhDPky-1PZ6K
