CPR is bringing ..The breath of Life.. into the rap game. Born April 20, 1988 in Covina, California, Micah Henson was raised in a Christian home. From the day he was born his father would pray that he would one day become a minister and a firm believer in Christ. At the young age of 8 years old Micah was introduced to hip-hop. ..I was in 2nd grade just chillin.. with my boys when one of them brought out a boom box.., Micah recalls. He started to play a song that I had never heard before, I didn..t know who was rapping but all I knew was that it was the coolest thing I..ve ever heard in my life. And from that moment it was love. It was in 9th grade that Micah was first introduced to Christian hip-hop by a group named grits. .. I mean just hearing Christian hip-hop was amazing to me because I was back sliding with my walk with Christ at the time an knowing that the music I love could be influenced by Christ and make a difference in the world was a shock to me. So I started writing rhymes, flowing and living for Christ only and slowly but surely it was showing... In the summer 2005 CPR linked up with Bless 1 productions. Micah sums it up like this: ..When God brought Bless 1 into my life everything clicked; all the things I..ve been through in my life, the ups and downs, but God has always had his hand on me. I know for a fact that God has called me into ministry in Christian hip-hop music.
