(blame yourself).Libro is a latin term that can be loosly translated as "to ponder". With the unusual method of writing and recording that we, as libro., use, this seems appropriate. Libro, as most are aware of, is also a Spanish term, literally translating to, "book". To witness the employment of our Linear Instrumental Binary Recording Operation, from which we've derived our very name from as an acronym, is to understand the similarities between the development process that an author would implement when writing a novel and our method of writing/recording our music. libro's work cannot be duplicated, much as the original works of a novelist cannot be truley duplicated. The works are written as they are simultaniously recorded in a linear, "book like" fashion. It is due to this method that many describe a sensation of being present to hear a story being told or, a scene form a movie being played out when listening to much of our work. The key elements of the libro sound and style are it's spontenaeity and it's expedience. For those familiar with the journlism of the late Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, the term "gonzo" comes to mind. A convoluted mess of irrational and sleep deprived thoughts, ideas, and mistakes that, by design, seem to fix together quite delightly (although quite unusually) when hurrily thrown together with almost impossible timing. It quickly becomes improvisational art that cannot be improved upon after conception has occurred simply by definition. libro music is what it is and nothing more. We've seen it blossom into something quite different from it's embryonic origins less than one year ago. It's imperfections still loom within and litter themselves throughout every piece that libro. creates, as though, these clever little mistakes were pround of themselves. With that having been said...we wouldn't change a thing.libro. music is produced rather rapidly and, we do our very best to post new works the minute they are completed so, if you've enjoyed anything that you have heard or read here...Please stay tuned.
