About Me

Billie aka Robin Brown, the daughter of a Baptist Minister was born in Brooklyn, New York. Growing up in church and singing in the choir is where it all began. At a very young age, Billie realised that on stage is where she wanted to be. After appearing in numerous school plays, talent shows and church concerts, Billie's big break came after a night in the legendary Paradise Garage in New York, where she met and heard the legendary Larry Levan spin. It was then that she decided that on the garage stage is where she had to be. Within a few months, she met Boyd Jarvis and Timmy Regisford. When asked by Boyd if she could sing something to a track that he had just recorded, of course the answer was "Yes" and that was the beginning - " Nobody's Bizness" was born. In 1996 "Nobody's Bizness" was remixed and released by AM PM in London was a Top 20 Hit. Billie's success with NB brought back the passion for the dance scene that had been resting while touring with a local New York based band "Love Head".Billie began writing and recording songs with other artists and producers. Desire (Paul Alexander) True Love (C&C Music Factory, Take Me Higher (featured on the Jr. Vascuez's CD) You Can Run, Satisfied, Got To Be Me (all under the name H2O featuring Billie). In 1998, Billie moved to Zurich, where she had the opportunity of recording with (Jamie Lewis) Purple Music recording "Take It Easy" and "Come Along.
