Myspace Layouts Thanks for the party everyone! It was a lovely time at the Bowery Ballroom last saturday the 23rd of Aug. As the owner of Gig Lizzy Studio I became entrenched in what was the music scene in NYC. Now after number of years I see, hear and feel a surge of good energy pouring out of the music scene again in New York City. Brooklyn bands are exploding with high tech, low tech headiness that I just adore. Fine musicianship coupled with with the soul of the ancients is hitting the small time hoping for, whatever. Lovely, lovely lads and ladies well read with adult music tastes run rampant in their repetiore. I just hope they can all pay their rent and they stay in town. I ran my shop for ten years at the Downtime Music Building about a block south of Madison Square Garden. Since then, I have been a fixture in the NYC music scene for well over a decade. I am both famous and infamous for all kinds of trouble. I am a "studente de vida" and I love this great life. I absolutely love New York City, and my friends here are the dearest. We enjoy hangin' in the city and upstate, and playing our music for one another. We enjoy attending one anothers' shows. We've played gigs together at Arlene's Grocery, CBGBs (R.I.P) Continental (R.I.P.), The R Bar, Snitch, Don Hills, Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan; Galapagos, Trash, Monkey Town in Williamsburg, Brooklyn; Maxwells, Gold Hawk, Scotland Yard in Hoboken, NJ and all over the country. I am a singer songwriter in my own right. I am currently writing for Bebe Buell Band, and Misty Marshall and for the band Lunalicious which sold 10,000 copies of my song WHITE DOVE last Christmas. Toot, Toot goes my horn. If you want you can listen to a few of my originals and my commercial tracks at myspace/giglizzysongs. Now! Everybody keep rocking on... that's an order. Gigantic love to all...GL
