About Me

Born in the Bronx. Evacuated. Eventually shoved to the suburbs of Atlanta. Took a while but it eventually held. Horrible student. Hard worker. Did the waiting thing for five years, did the corporate thing for another four. Started a movie website. Now it's pretty stout and I have what is either a budding film career or the creative equivalent of being eaten by Cthulhu. Either way I win. Jack of all trades, master of only about 30 or 40 of them. I'd prefer to let my actions speak for me. Fuck, I have no actions right now. Call back later.

My Interests

A whole lot. As you'd expect from CHUD.com and its various periphery most of it revolves around film and literature and the digital realm but don't count out baseball and whisky.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Stuff that doesn't have people sounding all sad and shit. Right now the stuff that gets heavy rotation is Particle, Medeski Martin & Wood, Aimee Mann, Mastodon, and Scratch Track. Of course, I have to recommend PKG, The Lucky Nightsticks, and The Killing Swarm because they're my bands. Oh, and we're better than you give us credit for being.

Movies:

Grizzly Park, baby. Coming to theaters in 2007. MEG, coming to theaters in 2008. Also on the horizon: 11 Colonels ATTACK!, PAIN, Runoff, and a few other sons of bitches.

Television:

Television is ok.

Books:

Loads. Decent recent stuff: Strangers' Gate, Chameleon, When Gravity Fails, Absolute Friends. Keep an eye out for Steve Alten's The Shell Game.

Heroes:

Mega Astronaut. The Incredibly Warm. Punchy Chestmuscles. Nuclear Chris.
