About Me

WHY AM I HERE?

This IS what you're supposed to do when you go on the internet, right? But, no, seriously... I'd been procrastinating on this for far too long.

Current revision: 2006/11

BITS WORTHY OF NOTE:

If your speakers are connected, volume turned to audible, and you haven't pressed the (STOP) button on the player embedded below, you can hear me singing a cover of "Fuel for Your Soul," originally composed & performed by Jagged Edge, UK on their album of the same name from 1991. This track was recorded by a very talented guitarist/engineer associate of mine, Jeff Prentice, of the band, OUTLAND , in Los Angeles, CA, USA back on September 10, 2001.

Life Denied has been busy in the studio laying down my vocals on some songs that have been previously completed otherwise. Erstwhile second engineer, Alex , has effected a preliminary mix of the first of them, "Again," and has posted it on the LIFE DENIED page for your review. Check it out! Just click on the title within the media player that shows up on the page.

Although my day-job has been that of Computer Draftsman for 18 years+, I've always had a penchant for design & graphics. I was selected by San Francisco based perennial headbangers, VICIOUS RUMORS to design the cover, inserts, tour poster & T-shirts for their 2006 heavy metal assault on the world, WARBALL . Previously, I had consulted on and effected the design & layout of their 2001 release, SADISTIC SYMPHONY .

I've also dabbled in entertainment journalism (Check out my interviews and album & concert reviews over at DETRITUS ).

You can also find some of my handiworks displayed among the amazing peer-pages of:

I hope you enjoy/-ed visiting this site as much as I did finally getting it created. Come on back from time to time to see what's up.

My Interests

My furry friends, non-corporate American, microbrewery BEER (no piss-water golden lagers or American Pilsners for yours truly, please and thank you; I'm far too pretentious for that), my dawn redwood forest , graphic design/3D modeling, volleyball, tennis, human interaction.

Music:

Cross-genre, must have infectious melody, well-executed instrumentation, should exude passion of some sort. Predominantly Album Oriented Rock, Heavy Metal (melodic, progressive, traditional), Progressive Rock, Arena Rock, some Folk/singer-songwriter stuff.

A buddy of mine in Lincoln, NE runs a very cool streaming "radio station" on which virtually EVERY SONG DOESN'T SUCK!

Nostalgia Abounds - can you get me a tissue?

So far, it seems all I've talked about musically is heavy metal, but that's not nearly the only style of music that tickles my pickle. In the past weeks, I've FINALLY gotten around to updat...

Reminiscions 01 (2001/06/06)

Metallica - ST. ANGER: What the..?? (2003/07/28)

Nothing really monumental to report, but I just felt the urge to throw my hat into the ring on one of the more controversial subjects to hit our ears in quite a while: Metallica's ST. ANGER. In a word...
