About me:
I am proud to say that I am the leading advocate for freedom in our nation's capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, I work tirelessly for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. I am also known among my congressional colleagues and constituents for my consistent voting record. I have never voted for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. In the words of former Treasury Secretary William Simon, I am the "one exception to the Gang of 535" on Capitol Hill.Due to popular demand, I have been asked to include some of my interests. I really enjoy bicycling, as I try to ride as many as 10-15 miles a day when time permits. I love to ride my bike in the mountains of Colorado. I also enjoy gardening, and I tend to my tomatoes and roses when I am at home in Texas. I love the water and boating, and the Texas Gulf Coast provides a wonderful opportunity for me to go boating with friends and family. I really enjoy spending time with my family. I have a large family and we often get together at our home to visit with one another. It is a very welcomed break from Washington, D.C. at times.Music: I really love to listen to folk music. One of my favorite songs is Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Restaurant."
Television: I watch all the news stations and C-SPAN.
Books: These are several of the books that have influenced me: The Law by Frederic Bastiat, Blowback by Chalmers Johnson, Boris Pasternak's Doctor Zhivago, The Road to Serfdom by Friedrich A. Hayek, and Human Action: A Treatise on Economics by Ludwig von Mises are just a few of the many books that I enjoy.
Heroes: Mahatma Gandhi

UR MAKERJan 4 2008 12:58 AMThanx for supporting Metal Dr. Paul!!!! Horns up!!!!
AlfondJan 4 2008 12:48 AMI know the kid below me TJ. He's a good man. He showed me the way of the Paul.
VIVA LA RON PAUL! PRESIDENT FOR 2008 AND BEYOND!
BobJan 4 2008 12:44 AMMr. Paul, I think you're really cool and so does my sister, she actually is planning on marrying you, but that's beside the point.
Good luck I'm sure you'll win.
: )
shipwreckJan 4 2008 12:44 AMI and friends of mine are going to distribute tons of free information about you and your campaign door to door. your campaign has given me and my friends new hope. your message reverberates through all of America!Vote yes for the Ron Paul Revolution!
Shane [Official]Jan 4 2008 12:42 AMdo you realize we were only a few thousand votes out of 3rd place in iowa???lets go kick some butt in NH!!!i project a 2nd place finish, at least!
Missouri 4 Ron PaulJan 4 2008 12:41 AMHELP RON PAUL OUT!!!!Go to www.ronpaul2008.com and order "slim jims". LOTS OF THEM!!! Order some for students, gun owners, health care, etc. Get out there on January 26th and February 2nd and PASS THEM OUT. You might get some looks but who cares! Stand up for what you believe in and show your support for our next president, Ron Paul.
Go to the colleges on January 25th and February 1st (Friday's) and hand the student slim jims to college students. Stand up and stand proud people!!!
Another idea is to buy the gun owners slim jims and go to local hunting/gun shops and ask if you can leave some there and hand them out to customers. Bass Pro Shop, Cabela's are huge, if you live close to one then stand in the parking lot.We need to get as much information out there before Super Tuesday! These are the 2 weekends before, Ron Paul will be FRESH on people's minds! Encourage people to get out and vote in the primaries. Try to be out for as long as you can handing these out. Plus, all the slim jims you buy... it all goes to Ron Pauls campaigne fund! Please pass this along. We need to get it out there. Thank you all for your help and we'll see you on the 26th and the 2nd!-Alicia, Missouri 4 Ron Paul
sherrillJan 4 2008 12:42 AMGO RON, GO RON, GO RON, WOOT!
*Vuk Du!!!! Du Shizkoff!!!![Ron Paul 2008]*Jan 4 2008 12:39 AMRON PAUL WILL KICK SOME MAJOR A** in the elections!!!!u have my vote DR.PAUL!!!!
pikaJan 4 2008 12:40 AMI would really like to vote for Ron Paul the only problem is I'm Puerto Rican. This means I can be drafted into the military but i can't choose my commander in chief. Anyway, I'll be pulling for you even if my voice will be silenced come election time.
DavyJan 4 2008 12:35 AMGive us Ron Paul or give us death.
Dance of the SensesJan 4 2008 12:38 AMI think Dr Paul did good in Iowa. Face it, the Iowa caucus is so small that it's really hard to tell what it means in terms of country wide support.
5,000 people voted; that's about how many people are in my neighborhood!
Conservatives in Iowa are partial to an evangelical minister for the most part as stats show and by now they're trained to be loyal to sugar-daddy in washington for their farming subsidy, and this is a big point of american degradation. RP represents the end to that government subsidy.
Well, this scene doesn't represent at all the success awaiting Ron Paul starting with NH. Here's where the REAL deal is going to show.
Don't let up! Now is when we're needed the most.
Ron Paul rules!
t.j.Jan 4 2008 12:33 AMDr. Paul you are the greatest presidential candidate this nation has ever seen. It's a shame I'm too young to vote, because you would definitely have my vote! Your work for pro-life as both an MD and a politician is noble, to say the least. You truly are a champion of the constitution! Keep the fight for our rights alive!!
~kj~Jan 4 2008 12:25 AMUnfortunately my parents in Iowa were not able to caucus because my father is in Stage 4 of cancer, but he is adamant that he supports you! And Lord willing, WILL support you this November.Great job in Iowa...the light of God never fails!!!
sineJan 4 2008 12:27 AMYour the man! Keep Rockin it from coast to coast! You got my vote!!!
GodLeighton,,Jan 4 2008 12:28 AMCongratulations on today(er, yesterday now) Dr. Paul! You beat out Guiliani, you're right on the heels of McCain and Thompson, PLUS you got the majority of the Independent vote! That's great news going into New Hampshire! Come the 15th, I'll be voting for you in Michigan. Till then, good luck in New Hampshire!
PØ?C3Jan 4 2008 12:23 AMRon, you have my vote! Thanks for standing up for America, and the constitution. I used to be a Hillary Clinton supporter, but after hearing you on the issues, that's all changed. I'm currently here in Afghanistan, and I'm telling all the soldiers about you that haven't heard.
RudyJan 4 2008 12:23 AMHi, Dr. Paul. Heard about Iowa. SOunds a little bad but there are more primaries. Remember "If at first you don't succeed. Try, Try again.(Please Pardon the cliche. Anyway, keep going we're all behind you, win or lose. I wish you were representing Cape Girardeau County, MO. We need a good representative, like you.
Brian Helmrichs (voting ron paul)Jan 4 2008 12:24 AMI am from Iowa and participated in tonights caucus, 11,000+ votes is very impressive, remember Iowans are usually re born and only interested in farming and ethanol subsidies and we both no your not interested in that. Thanks for coming to my counties caucus. Great job, and always great to see you again.
Michael O (Ron Paul 2008)Jan 4 2008 12:16 AMDon't lose heart people! Ron is in a great spot to go the distance. Ten percent is a good start in the primaries considering the lack of media coverage. Even Fox news was hyping it up later on, I think Greta is a closet Ron Paul fan haha. We have only begun to fight!
RON PAUL OR DIE!!!!Jan 4 2008 12:17 AMWE NEED PEOPLE ON STREET CORNERS FLIPPING SIGNS LIKE THOSE PIZZA GUYS.....THE AMOUNT OF ATTENTION THEY GET IS AMAZING!! GO RON!! SOUTHEREN CALIFORNIA WILL HEAR YOUR NAME!!!
BenJan 4 2008 12:10 AMEven if you're not, I am celebrating a good placement out of a state like IOWA!! You rock, Dr. Paul! For once in my life my republican friends and I have something that we agree on! 49 states to go!
LandsharkJan 4 2008 12:14 AMRon- Please never make the mistake of crossing a picket line for a cheap interview.
Mushroom Princess of LightJan 4 2008 12:08 AMYay!!! Congratulations in Iowa! The media machine can supress you all they want, but the truth comes when you let the PEOPLE speak!
DJan 4 2008 12:08 AMWell i have a comment right now, RON DID EXCELLENT IN THE POLLS, BUT ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH! I KNOW HE CAN DO BETTER, AND as far as this censoring thing goes with ron being excluded from news and iowa, We as Supporters should be doing more THIS is a revolution damnit!! How much longer are we going to sit on our asses and watch as our country goes to shit??
CAN WE DO MORE???
MORGAN!!!Jan 4 2008 12:09 AMI predict 20% at the least in NH.Iowa was always an odd state to base anything on anyways. Really all it gets you these days is bragging rights on the news for a few days before the primaries start....but we did beat Rudy : D
MathewJan 4 2008 12:06 AMthe world is about to change permanently, we must not give up our struggle and we must not break the bonds which bring us together,we are American patriots who will uphold the U.S. Constitution and let liberty shine from us
DavidJan 4 2008 12:04 AMDavidtheSolisguitarist supports Ron Paul!! Freedom 4 ever ...Dr. Paul makes living in America FEEL GOOD AGAIN!!!
EncinoMan recommends Ron Paul for President 2008Jan 4 2008 12:04 AMCongrats on double digits results at the first caucusin Iowa. You bitch slapped Rudy. Too bad they don't let the troops in Iraq from Iowa vote at at caucas too(that really sucks). Dump all Fox News stock!!!
ValerieJan 4 2008 12:04 AMI think we did GREAT!!!!!We did have a slow start in Iowa and our money was limited at first but look at us now!!! We kicked Rudy's *** and I am still lmao over Hillary.
We need to thank God for tonight he's looking out for us.
I have great hopes for New Hampshire.God Bless you Ron Paul!!!!

TonyJan 4 2008 12:03 AMI think it's the perfect time to take control of this campaign... It's been spreading like a wildfire but it's now time for the controlled burn. We can do this! Let's show them the true nature of this campaign, Love and Liberty. The true patriotic message. This is what people want. Guliani was spreading the message of fear and terror. He got 3%! We are the Brave, we are Americans and we have no fear!
Rick RuuuuDEJan 4 2008 12:00 AMI cant wait to vote on the 19th!!!!!I know for sure you will do better here in Nevada than iowa.God Bless Ron Paul!

JasonJan 3 2008 11:41 PMDr. Paul, I apologize for not doing all that I could up to this point. My financial resources are severely limited right now, but I want you to know that I just joined a local meetup, and I am going to campaign for you here in Northeast Ohio from here on out. I will join with others who support you, and together, we will see you through to either the Nomination or a dominating third party/independent run.
JonathonJan 3 2008 11:29 PMWell let me just say I am embarassed of all the bias journalism going on. It took me fifteen minutes just to find out your response to the turnout. Just keep it up were rallying for you in ga
MitchJan 3 2008 11:25 PMgood showing in iowa dr. paul!11% right! u didn't win but u gave Mcain and Thomson a run for their money, and u beat Giuliani did u not? great job anyway and from what I know about the primary process, this will probably be one of your worst showings. And Hillary got third...PWNED!GO RON PAUL 2008!
SalomeaJan 3 2008 11:27 PMi just went on cnn and noticed that for republicans there is only 95 percent precints reported. That means that 5 percent of the votes have not been reported yet which could belong to Ron Paul and could put him in third place. or u guys looking at some other results?
ScottJan 3 2008 11:13 PMMy family came to Jamestown in 1610, my ancestors took part in the first revolution, signing the Declaration of Independence, fighting in the Civil War, WWI, WWII and Vietnam. I regret not serving in the military but I am proud to be a part of this Revolution. The idea of a soverign nation, which some consider antiquated, is something of value to me. Call me old fashoned but I love the heritage and history of this country.Dr. Paul, sir, you have no idea what your efforts mean to me and the rest of us who happen to love this country for the reasons you do.Please keep up the good work and know that you have an army of patriots behind you who support you because you support us and we believe in your message because it's the truth.Thank you!
dont let go this trains not stoppinJan 3 2008 11:20 PMI was looking for more ways to spread the word and I was wondering if anyone has a package of graphics I can use. My friend has his own Screen Printing company and we are going to be designing our own t-shirts and hoodies and give them away after we inform them of Ron Paul's policies. We are going to design it from the Ron Paul Love Revolution logo.I also want to hang up some banners and throw up some stickers. Right out side of my neighborhood there was a 12x6ft vinyl banner. I was wondering if anyone knows maybe where they got their graphics to make it or if anyone is already making them?

Katie [Ron Paul 08]Dec 20 2007 3:38 PMRon Paul, you have my vote for 2008, and that is saying something. I have been an avowed anti-Republican bohemian liberal-ish Independent for years. I have never felt like a presidential candidate spoke directly to me - until you! I think you appeal so widely to so many different types of people because you talk about upholding the Constitution which guarantees liberty for all Americans. That's a message that is being heard loud and clear, and I'm hoping to spread the word about you to others! We're behind you!Love Always,
***Katie

KristinaDec 20 2007 3:21 PMI am not an American citizen, but have been a legal resident of the United States since I was 8. Is there some sort of way to expedite my naturalization so that I can vote for Ron Paul in the national election? I am a Canadian, so I don't think it would be that complicated.

Ron Paul {The Champion of the Constitution} 2008!Dec 20 2007 1:40 PMHey Guys go to www.ronpaulblimp.com and donate however much you'd like. However we just need 100k by the 21st at midnight to keep the blimp flying through the New Hampshire Primary. If 2000 RP supporters donate 50 dollars we'll make it. If we just get a fraction of Ron Pauls friends to donate 25 dollars we'd make it no sweat. Not much time left! Pass the word around!
MeganDec 20 2007 1:25 PMDr. Paul, Sir, my husband and I were not very political people until this year. we began to see all the problems our country is facing, and that is how the research began. When my husband found your website and began all the reading, he called me to the computer and said, " you have to read this". I was stunned. You are the President our country needs, to get things back into prospective. Your policies, your beliefs....you have our full support. Every time someone talks about politics or the upcoming elections.......we mention your name. I am very sad about the fact that you don't get more mainstream TV time, but I am beginning to see why. Thank you for Listening to what the American people want. We NEED you in office. I hope in 2008 we can call you PRESIDENT PAUL!!!
ShawshankDec 20 2007 1:19 PMI just watched the hour long interview in which Ron Paul was asked various questions at Google and I have to say that I am always so impressed by not only the views, but how they are expressed. The demeanor, the character, the intelligence, and the actual speaking skills are amazing. I will certainly be giving a Christmas present to Dr. Ron Paul this year. Thank you so much for doing all that you do!

THANK YOU SO MUCH.

TracyDec 20 2007 12:47 PMThey say he has an internet "following." We're not followers because we're orchestrating this campaign from the ground up. We are the foundation of it. We are SUPPORTers in every sense of the word.Of course we're on the internet because he's not in the MSM too often. While others sit and watch their candidate on the boob-tube, we're sitting on the computer communicating with each other to plan real-world campaign activities.Their irrational logic: "His followers are online. Let's ignore the relevance of online polling statistics."They call his supporters mostly "young males." That is funny, because his major base is made up of both sexes over the age of 26, who have never voted or haven't voted in a long time.

~Jennifer~Dec 20 2007 11:54 AMI have to say I am a dedicated registered republican voter and I was iffy about the whole election next year. Part of me was going for Mitt Romney and part for Rudy Guiliani, but I still was not satisfied. I saw your story on CBN this morning, and I think more than a revolution, you are a revelation! You have really proved that you are here to make our country better for us now, and for my (all) children and that is so refreshing! Thank you so much and I wish you the bes of luck! You have my full support and the support of my family!
DrewDec 20 2007 11:52 AMIts unfortunate that the people most qualified to lead our nation get so little press. Ron, reading pays off, and you, Sir, are clearly the best choice we Americans have for getting things right again. You have my support and will have my vote.

The Nine Satanic Statements 1. Satan represents indulgence, instead of abstinence! 2. Satan represents vital existence, instead of spiritual pipedreams! 3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom, instead of hypocritical self-deceit! 4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it, instead of love wasted on ingrates! 5. Satan represents vengeance, instead of turning the other cheek! 6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible, instead of concern for psychic vampires! 7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all fours, who, because of his "divine spiritual and intellectual development" has become the most vicious animal of all! 8. Satan represents all the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification! 9. Satan has been the best friend of the church as he has kept it in business all of these years!
