Dj Phidget started Djing in 2001, when he met his mentor, Dj Dirty Diggler at his hometown. He showed him the first steps of Djing. That was mind-blowing for Dj Phidget and quickly he knew what he wanted to do: He desired to create his own style by mixing his favourite records together. He started with a set of old Turntables, which never were supposed to be used for stuff Dj Phidget used them for.
After a period of time and equipped with other turntables, he was quite sure of never stop Djing and used his whole summer break to work in a factory all the time to fulfill his dream of a Dj set consisting of 2 Technics Turntables and a Vestax Dj Mixer. Although his friends were enjoying their summerbreak, he knew why to work that hard all the time. After buying his new equipment, he immediately started to learn more and more and got into better mixing and also scratching. He started to play on parties of friends and made several mixtapes, for which he got a lot of props. Then one mixtape brought him into the clubscene. Due to his tape he got his first Gig where he could prove his skills and his fine club music selection, which made the club party hard. More and more Gigs, residencies and other bookings in his region followed. Then he started not only to play Black but also fulfilled the needs of the party crowd with the best mix of House music, which became a more and more important music style in the clubs. Thereupon he established the Dj Duo ..Kerbeat and Frocks.. with his friend Dj IanB to perform together the best of Black and House music in the clubs.
When MTV Germany was touring through the cities with a Dj Battle, he took the opportunity with his Dj Partner IanB to compete against other Djs and so they showed their skills on the Decks and rocked the Crowd. Although they were the first to play, they rocked that much on the Turntables, that after their set, the club was freaking. Impressed by their Dj Show and skills to rock a club during a short period of time, MTV Gemany had invited them as the only Djs to another show, where they showed their incredible potential again. Afterwards MTV allowed them to get extensive contacts to other clubs. Due to this they have played in many cities and are freaking the crowds wherever they are. Dj Phidget came around and now rocked also Asia as he played in Clubs in Beijing, China, also in one of Beijings biggest Hip Hop Club, VICS Club, in front of an Audience of 1000 people. DJ Phidget is just startin, there will be more to come!
