Andrew Wallace is an independent singer/songwriter/guitarist originally from country NSW now based in Melbourne Australia. In May 2006, Andrew launched his much awaited second EP entitled "On the Upside" at the Empress Hotel in North Fitzroy, Melbourne.
Since launching the EP, much has followed including rave reviews , commercial airplay both here in australia and through parts of Canada and record company interest from the US.
On The Upside which consists of five original tracks co-produced by Andrew and ARIA nominated producer/engineer Nigel Derricks , is often described as having a rootsy Australian pop feel.
PREVIOUS HISTORY In 2003 Andrew released his debut EP entitled "Standing In My Shoes". The EP gained airplay both locally on Melbournes PBS and RRR stations and nationally on ABC's Radio National. Throughout 2004/2005 the EP featured regularly on Network 10's Cactus Garden and Andrew received record company interest from independent US company statue records.
Andrew has continued to build a loyal following, playing shows at many well established venues around Melbourne and Victoria, including the Hifi bar, Esplanade, Empress, Duke of Windsor, Armadale, Evelyn and Corner Hotels, Bendigo's Golden Vine, Ballarat's Bridge Mall Inn and Geelong's National Hotel and Barwon Club just to name a few.
Andrew has also done a swag of supports for acts such as Dave McCormack (ex Custard) and the Polaroids, Pete Murray, Brian Cadd, Daughter Boy Jao, Moondriven and others.
