The brazilian loud instrumental rock band Salvador based Vendo 147 was born when the multi-band drummer Glauco Neves aka Glauco Loucão (Vinil 69, Pessoas InvisÃveis, Cão d´Ãgua, Glauco Neves) decided some day in 2005 to use his idle time in the recording studio he works to register his own songs. Kind of an one-man-band, Glauco played all instruments, with help from the special guest friends Pedro Cérebro (Vinil 69) and Boca in two tracks. The songs rouse the attention of Frangote Records indie label, wich released it in a 10 track EP called Satangoz, that unfortunately stayed unnoticed on press. For the occasion of the CD launch, Glauco formed the first line up of Vendo 147 in the intention of being able to make some rare live gigs. This first line up includes Dudare in bass and Pedro in rhythm guitar (both from Vinil 69), and Diego Andrade (Cão d´Ãgua, Hajoe, Cof Damu) in solo guitar. In late 2005, Diego was replaced by Bruno Pizza (The Honkers, Pessoas InvisÃveis) and this formation only made one show.
In summer 2006 the band starts to take more seriously - and more louder - with the addition of a new member, Dimmy Demolidor (The Honkers), who started to play the drums together with Glauco in a clone drum set: The two drummers play one in front of the other in the same bass drum, an unusual way to play drums first created by the swiss band The Monsters. Something barely unbelieveable until you see it with your own eyes, and listen with your own ears. The band starts to play live often with some good repercussion, leaving broken drumsticks and broken strings on its way.
Yet this year, the band will release a new album, recorded live in studio, showing new songs, and playing the older ones in the new band´s format.
