About Me

Hello! My name is Emily. I can actually be quite shy, though most of my mates won't agree with me. I think it's just with new people really, unless I'm in the right kind of mood, in which case I probably scare new people. I'm a microbiologist, which may or may not sound more interesting than it is. I have long dark hair as can be seen in the pictures in my profile, not quite as long as some of the pictures, i've had it cut since. I grew it myself! I have blue eyes but I wear contact lenses because I'm short sighted and I don't like wearing my glasses, maybe it's because I'm vain. I'm not really vain. The pictures on my profile are of me and my mates while we're out or some I took messing about. I've never had any professional photos taken, because they don't show people in their natural environments and can give a false impression of people. I don't quite understand this whole professional photo fad that a lot of people seem to have on MySpace these days but hey, each to their own. Most on the people on my friends list are people I know in real life, if you want to add me just to bump up your friends list then add www.myspace.com/houseoftrackslily cause I let anyone on that one. I like getting adds from people from my past who I haven't seen for ages though, or people I didn't know were on here. I like to drink tea because it makes me feel warm inside, I get grumpy if I can't have a cup of tea in the mornings, my mates at Uni can confirm that I'm sure. I also like drinking squash. I like marmite on toast in the morning. I can be a bit ditzy sometimes, usually if I'm tired or drunk or both, and I'm super clumsy. I have two sisters, one older and one younger, they are both lovely, of course. I'm addicted to ebay and have to restrain myself when I've got no money. Internet shopping is great but addictive. I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen, I want a biiiig kitchen when I get my own house. I also put faces on cakes (with icing). I like to go out in Birmingham, usually to the academy, snobs, the sanctuary (depending on the night) and places similar. I have some great friends for which I am grateful for. I lovelovelove seeing live bands, even ones I've never heard of. I write for an online music review magazine called House of Tracks (more affectionately known as HoT) under the pseudonym Lily Sparks. Have a look at it if you like any decent music at all. www.houseoftracks.co.uk .I rock.Myspace For Girls Only - MyGirlySpace.com

My Interests

Not much different to any student my age i spose, music, drinking, clubbing (in the right places), playing my guitar (or at least attempting to) - I'm better at guitar hero than real life guitar, sleeping, buying nice new clothes, live music, putting off work...

I'd like to meet:

No one from MySpace, they might turn out to be some kind of psycho (I speak from experience, hahahaha). I'd like to meet loads of supercool bands! I've met some already but I always want moremoremoremore. The band I would most like to meet is Muse. Hurrah!

Music:

Some examples: Muse, Blink 182, Blur, Bloodhound gang, Bowling for soup, Box Car Racer, Farse, Green Day, Guns n Roses, KoRn, Radiohead, Rammstein, Rancid, System of a Down, Gffspring, Transplants, Foo Fighters, My Vitriol, Franz Ferdinand, Reel Big Fish, the Ramones, Sugarcult, the Killers, ash, the Clash, NOFX, Dexter, Jamie T, The Kooks, We are Scientists, The Pipettes, McFly (ohyes), The Automatic, Lily Allen, The Fratellis, Anti-flag, The Pigeon Detectives, The Wombats, Kubichek! .. Can listen to most things by actual bands, NOT into the whole thing where people listen to random sounds put together in a crazy order and then repeated several thousand times till your head explodes..... I like actual music :)

This is seriously the best video in the world ever, I love it.
