I love live music and going to hear Spencer play with so many fabulous bands such as Tommy Lepson Band, Jamie Lynch Band and Mary Shaver Band. He has or still does fill in with other great bands such as Cathy Ponton King, Smokin Polecats, Catfish Hodge, BG and the Mojo Hands, Clarence Turner Blues Band, Skyla Burrell Blues Band, Mike Westcott and Blues on Board, Jr. Cline and the Recliners, 69 Band, Blues Unchained and others. He filled in with the Nighthawks on two gigs and had a fantastic time. I rarely miss a gig. Some of the bands that Spence and I like to hear when he's not playing are Junkyard Saints, Bad Influence, Green House Gas Station, The Blues Vultures, Tonehounds, Flatfoot Sam, Nighthawks, Blues on Board, Layers, Tom Principato, Melanie Mason, Mark Ramsburg Band, On Kilter, Wil Gravett, Signals with Pam and Ray, Freddie Long Band, Chris Arney Band to name a few.
