About Me

So where do I begin? I guess it all started when I got hooked on Acid music and bleepy Techno somewhere in 1994-95. Lets say from that moment on I knew music was the most important thing in my life and that's also when I got really active with music. I started mixing at home a year later and began to throw underground Techno/Acid parties at the same time in Brussels with my best friend. A year or two later I totally fell in love with Electro and rediscovered many 80's artists I'd seen on MTV as a kid. Soon after that we changed the name of our organization and not long after that the Twisted Hardware web site was born. The 10 years that followed we spent most of our time promoting our favorite international and national Electro artists at our quality events in Brussels. Occasionally we'd still throw a Techno/Acid party. to give you all an idea; Ectomorph, Jackal&Hyde, Exzakt, Karl Finlow, Bomb Dogs, Bass Junkie, Dynamix II, Andrew Weatherall, Radioactive Man, Decall, Satmile ,Fastgraph aka The Operator, Dexter, Michael Forshaw and Mark Hawkins are some of The artists we had the pleasure to invite. And they all rocked the dancefloor!Over the years my DJ-ing took me al over the country at many many underground parties but also playing at major events like Elektron, Kozzmozz, Happy & 7 Days, clubs; Fuse, Culture Club, La Chapelle, festivals like Alive Festival & Festivibe to name a few. Got voted 3rd best national Electro DJ, right under Spacid & Dr Lektroluv by Partyguide members, Belgiums' biggest online dance community. Next to that occasional appearences on national radio namely Switch for Studio Brussels hosted by Jan Van Biesen. Since I've only been producing 3 years or so, I guess it's safe to say I'm better know as DJ Lysergic.Although I'm mostly known for my Electro sets you can also catch me spinning at Breaks, Techno or Acid parties.I've always wanted to make my own music, ever since I started drumming in my teens, but I found it important to be a descent DJ. Maybe 'cause I had seen too many known producers in the past who were lousy in the mix. The DJ-ing all these years obviously has inpired and influenced my own sound. Nevertheless I make music for myself in the first place, if people like it, all the better. I feel I have to stay true to my principles, thats just me..... Anyway... I hope that one day I'll evolve to be an innovator and who knows maybe one day I can inspire others just like so many artists have done so for me througout my life.www.twistedhardware.com
